Description

Silver Cottage is the perfect getaway retreat in an idyllic, peaceful location. It is a charming detached building (originally a Silversmiths in the 1800's) with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms situated at the end of a private lane.

From the cottage you can walk into the popular village of Yalding which offers The Boathouse (idyllic riverside location) plus 2 other excellent restaurants/pubs, a cafe (for great coffee), monthly Farmers' Market, the excellent Yalding Organic Gardens, a village shop, post office, access to the river Medway (canoeing etc) and many historic buildings and features.

On entering the front door at Silver Cottage there is a downstairs bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The next room is a twin bedroom with plenty of built-in storage. Most of the ground floor is taken up by the kitchen / diner and sitting room. The kitchen is large and has a dishwasher, washing machine and fridge. The dining table seats four and there are two sofas, a TV, stereo and a fabulous wood-burning stove. Under-floor heating is fitted throughout the ground floor. The master bedroom with kingsized bed is upstairs and has a generous en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath.

The cottage has its own private garden and terrace, private parking, use of the owners' tennis court (by prior request) and a barbecue.

The cottage would equally suit a family or 2 people looking for a rural, summer holiday with plenty of exploring in Kent or a cosy winter break, snuggled inside with the wood-burning stove. The building has been insulated with modern products and holds the heat in winter and is cool in the summer.

Kent offers a wealth of history with its castles and rivers, well known gardens and of course the glorious Kent beaches. It is also known for it amazing food from farmers' markets to cafes to Michelin starred restaurants. So much to discover!

How do damage deposits work?
