Description
Our maisonette is perfectly situated in Maisons Laffitte, only 20 minutes by public transport or car from the Champs-Elysées. The house is totally independent, offering quiet, secluded, high quality accommodation. It is two minutes walk away from the superb 18th century chateau of Maisons and a five minute walk from the town centre and railway station. It has a private drive, where you can park your car if needed, and a terrace where your children can play.
The house has a modern, fully-fitted kitchen, with dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, fridge, induction hob and oven and a Nespresso machine. There is a spacious living room with a Sony 46" HD flatscreen with English and French television, Blu-Ray DVD player, free WiFi and a comfortable 140x200cm sofa bed. The bedroom has a 160x200cm double bed and large fitted wardrobes. The bathroom is fully-fitted with bath and shower. The WC is separate. Fresh towels and linen are included in the price and changed weekly. For your baby or toddler, we can provide a chair and travel cot upon request.
Maisons Laffitte is a pretty town, lying between the banks of the Seine and the forest of St Germain en Laye. It boasts a wide range of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops, an arts cinema with frequent screenings of films in English, a concert hall, a delightfully situated tennis club (you can hire courts at the club which is a 15 minute walk away), and an impressive public swimming pool. The house is located in the former royal park of the chateau, offering splendid walks (and runs!) and we can arrange for bike hire if you wish. Twinned with Newmarket, Maisons Laffitte is a famous venue for racing, with a celebrated race track and over 30 trainers in the town.
Unlimited travel passes cost from around €10 (daily) to €35 (weekly). The Louvre museum is just 20 minutes away. Versailles is 25 minutes by car and EuroDisney is direct by train. Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports and the Eurostar are all around 45 minutes away.
