The Deck offers guests the chance to relax in a stunning, serene rural setting close to both the beach (10mins) and town attractions. The stylish 3 x 2 home is situated on two and a half acres of prime land bordered by tall timbers and wildlife. Take the walk/ cycling path to town centre or the beach. A short ten minute walk to Cape Mentelle vineyard offering seasonal outdoor movies, tours and wine tasting. Two queen rooms and a third bedroom with two singles, two bathrooms plus separate water closet and laundry. NBN WIFI, 40 inch Samsung H6400 television, 3D bluray player and Denon Sound system. The Deck is family friendly and also suitable for couples or a small group of friends. It features a pot belly fire place, reverse cycle air conditioning to the open plan living area and ceiling fans to the lounge and all of the bedrooms. A very well planned design, well equipped kitchen plus private and stunning outdoor areas both for entertaining outside and making use of the surrounding land. “Some drawbacks!”

Response from the manager Im glad you enjoyed The Decks lovely amenities. Im sorry the wifi wasnt working for you after all the troubleshooting we did with Nicola. We feel better communication, which goes both ways, could have changed that outcome. Firstly, the house description is accurate - it says 2 bathrooms and a half bath which is exactly what is there. The half bath means a toilet with a basin. We apologise if you feel misled by the bathroom descriptions - Tripadvisor has limited options to describe bathroom types. A few hours prior to your arrival our operations manager inspected the wifi as part of her prechecks and found it to be working perfectly. Between then and your arrival the wifi went down. Dropouts in this area are common and most of the time the situation resolves itself when the provider (Telstra) fixes the issue. On the day you arrived we answered your late evening call and troubleshot the Wifi together. We both decided to reassess it in the morning and contact the technician if it wasn't working. You said you would let me know if it was working or not. When we didnt hear from you I called you at midday the following day but you were on a wine tour which is great. You didnt mention anything about wifi so we incorrectly assumed Nicola (your tech savvy friend) had resolved the situation as per our discussions. We try to limit the emails and texts to our guests so that they feel relaxed and undisturbed. If the guests have an issue we prefer they contact us about it - we request they do this in all our pre and post arrival correspondence. We didnt hear from you again after your winery text so we applied our 'do not disturb' approach. We power cycled the router and NBN box after you left and the wifi began working properly again.

“Quiet and relaxing”

The house had everything you needed, even cooking extras like oils, herbs and spices. If you were missing anything, the shops were not far away.
