Description

You will LOVE my sunny family 3 Bedroom Holiday House with its private sun-soaked garden. Superbly situated in a quiet select area within a few minutes walk to a variety of beautiful sandy beaches, bays, and cliff-top walks. Very close to Botany Bay, Palm Bay lawns, and a lovely park with a children's play area. Very handy walking access to a local parade of shops including a Co-op mini supermarket, Post office, Chinese takeaway, Fish & Chip Shop, Chemist, Microbrewery, local pubs, and restaurants. Close to the Turner Art Gallery in Margate with free admission. and the newly opened children's DREAMLAND.

Also excellent bus service and Island hopper to local towns, villages & Canterbury City center. A very good train service, including a High Speed 140 mph train to London from Margate railway station, ideal for a day trip to London sights.

We supply pillows & duvets for all beds However we find people are particular about sheets/pillow cases, duvet covers and towels they use so please bring your own. This policy helps to keep the rental price reasonable and the house Covid Free.

For out of season we recommend we turn on the central heating, for this we require an additional £50 per week deposit paid separately to the owner and who will refund any heating cost not used.

Light airy modern house. Large L-shaped lounge with an area for children to play. A selection of games books and videos and Free View TV for you to enjoy. New bathroom with full-size bath and shower Separate downstairs cloakroom with toilet and washbasin We find people are particular about sheets and towels they use so please bring your own. We have electric convector heaters in all rooms that provide enough heat in most situations. However out of season, I would recommend we turn on the central heating for you and charge you for the cost of the gas used, it is a very modern system and works out a lot cheaper than electric heating. Please let me know what you would like to do as we require a deposit for this service. Fire Alarm Installed. Free Unlimited Wifi

The new Turner Art Gallery with free admission. is worth a visit and the newly opened DREAMLAND amusement park has Lots of golden Sandy Beaches and bays within walking distance of the house. Broadstairs with its selection of different restaurants, the Summer Festival Folk Week and the Dickens Festival

“Holiday”

This is a lovely house very near the beach and shops. It was lovely and clean. We enjoyed the cliff top walks and coves nearby. Just be aware that filming happens at Joss bay, so we couldn't visit.

“Basic”

It’s ok if your content with basics.Firstly there are no tv or even aerials in any of the bedrooms.So if you like watching tv in bed forget it. Decor is very 80’s ,although that didn’t bother me. It was very clean and tidy and had fully functioning kitchen. Heating: they charge you extra £75.00 for 2 week period.They read a meter that’s locked away at begin and the end of your stay and give you back the difference you use. Electric meter is £1 operational and in space of 2 weeks baring in mind I worked during the day put in £59.00 The shower is not very powerful and water drizzles out this is electric run. It has a old water tank system So if you take a bath you have to wait a minimum of a hour for more hot water as after one bath use it runs cold. It is cheaper than most holiday let’s so if your happy With basics then yes it’s right for you.

Response from the owner We are sorry you were disappointed with a few things, the advert on Tripadvisor Holiday Letting has full information and pictures of each room of our lovely family house. You used the house in the winter period, “in your case because you had to vacate your caravan for two weeks” We turned on the central heating for heating and hot water, it is a very modern condenser boiler only installed 2 years ago. We timed the heating and the hot water to suit you Billie as you were away from the house each day working, we explained personally to you that the hot water could have been left on all day if you wanted to. We also refunded you £29.67 for gas not used at the end of your stay. It’s possible why so much electricity was used was because there were other people staying in the house while you were working. We lock the cupboard because we have personal items in there. Many guests continue to return each year and love the house and location.

“Excellent, very comfortable home”

We have just returned from our holiday, the home was fabulous, beds very comfortable, we used local buses and travelled to, a different place each day, it was lovely to return to a very peaceful home each evening .
