This updated three bedroom, two bath home sleeps 10 and has a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Surrounded by Pine, Oak and Manzanita trees the house is not visible by neighbors and sets well off the road via a paved driveway.
This is a new vacation rental we are offering for the months of April through October. Even though this house is a new offering we will treat is just as we have our initial vacation rental, Old Oak Hideaway I. The two units are separate buildings with a large driveway and plenty of parking for everyone.
This is a three bedroom two bath house that has beds for 10. This house has a large great room that encompasses the kitchen, dinning and living room that is kept cozy with a wood burning fire place. There is an additional family room with a large screen tv, dvd/vcr, dvd library and many books to enjoy. The enclosed porch room has a double size futon and a large dining table that seats 8 along with kids toys, games and puzzles. The master bedroom consists of a queen size bed, tv with Roku and private bathroom with shower. The second bedroom consists of a twin over full bunkbed with an additional twin hideaway hiding under the bunkbed. The third bedroom consists of a double size bed. Each bedroom has it's own baseboard heater. The common area bathroom has a tub/shower combo. If you have children they will love the frog full of bath toys! Both bathrooms have plenty of fresh towels and toilet paper. We also provide shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in case you forget yours and have run out during your adventure.
There is a large deck for relaxing on after a log day in Yosemite or for your morning coffee!
The kitchen has modern appliances: refrigerator, stove, oven, dish washer, microwave, toaster, blender and coffee maker. It is equipped with pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishes, cups, glasses and silverware. There are even baking pans and utensils. We provide paper products such as paper towels and napkins along with salt and pepper. There is also coffee and tea waiting!
Also available for use are a washing machine and dryer, ironing board and iron and workout equipment. Wifi is accessible throughout the house. There is an evaporative cooler to keep the house cool in the summer.
Our place is kid friendly (not child proof) with many children toys inside and out, board games, puzzles and books for your little ones to enjoy.TripAdvisor property ID 2426391...Read more
Old Oak Hideaway II - Yosemite Getaway! Mariposa, California
Additional Location Information
Our cat friendly guardians Cooper (Husky) and Dino (Black Lab) keep the bears away but you may see many of the other wild animals we have wondering the property at times, deer, fox, coyote, wild turkey and others.
We are located almost half way between the South entrance and the West entrance. The West entrance is Hwy 140 through the town of Mariposa and takes approximately 45 minutes to get to the entrance. This is the quickest way to get to the valley floor. The South entrance is Hwy 41 through the town of Oakhurst and it takes approximately 1 hour to get to the entrance. This is the entrance I would recommend if you are going to the Mariposa Grove or to the Wawona area. Just beyond Oakhurst is the beautiful resort area of Bass Lake. With such places so close, all kinds of activities are yours for the choosing: fishing, water sports, snow sports, hiking, biking, golfing, rafting, historical tours, gold panning, rock climbing, zip lining, horseback riding, birding, and so much more.
