“Lovely cottage and location.”
We had two weeks stay whilst our house was renovated. The cottage is lovely with a good sized (and safe) garden for the dog and 3 year old. The owners were very approachable and looked after us well. … More

“Nice cottage. Absolutely no support from owners”
We stayed here in October 2021. The Cottage was Ok but cold as we were warned by the owners not to turn the heating on. Thank goodness for the log burner in the lounge. Nice warm lounge, the rest of… More

Response from the owner Saddened to read this review which to be fair is not accurate. The electric heating was on all the time you were there, we did ask you politely not to turn it right up and leave the windows open! The heating was set at 18 degrees and the log burner could have been kept going all day as we supplied you with plenty of logs. You forgot to mention we allowed you early access to the cottage on the day you arrived, you were there by 9am and we had a long friendly chat, our previous guests, in fact all guests since covid hit have been asked to vacate by 9am and not arrive until 5pm to give owners time to fully clean and disinfect cottages. You did ask to stay an extra 2 nights which we couldnt accommodate as we had other guests arriving on the Saturday. We saw your daughter and grandson several times during your stay we came down and put the bins out and replenished the log store, we came down to let the electrician in and I spoke to your daughter to make sure everything was alright, not sure what "support" you were expecting, guests tend to relax and do their own thing, not want us checking on them every day especially since covid hit. We live on site so feel it is only fair if you have any issues to contact us whilst you are staying here not complain once you have left. Interestingly you had a good moan to us when you arrived about the property you had stayed at previously in Gt Sturton!

“Perfect place to unwind”
Fantastic - pictures can’t convey the instant calm of the cottage and its garden. A real home-from-home feel, only with a wood burner and more bird song. Would highly recommend this cottage and … More

“Most horrendous blue cheese like smell”
The horrendous blue cheese like smell from the small room where the fridge is located (beside the living room) makes us feel really sick. It does not appear to get less worse with the windows open, so… More

“A beautiful location - quiet, cosy, lovely views over open fields with access to the Lincolnshire Wolds for great walks.”
Good communication with the owner prior to our stay. Cottage is in a lovely quiet, rural location, with everything you could need for your stay. We were extremely lucky with the weather and able to do lots of walks based on the leaflets produced locally. Lincoln Castle & Cathedral were fantastic to visit using the newly established park & ride at the north of the city. We were able to sit in the secluded garden every evening. Lovely breakfasts available at The Vintage Tearooms at Tealby, as well as a lovely meal (great service) at the Kings Head, also at Tealby - a beautiful village.
