Villa Malvarosa is a gracious 200-square-meter (about 2,153 square feet) house above the sea which sleeps ten people. It features terraces and a garden with spectacular views of the sea, the coast, and the island of Capri . The sea is only 30 meters (about 98.5 feet) away. Villa Malvarosa is equipped with air-conditioning and parking space. It is 6 km (about 3.7 miles) away from Sorrento .
At Villa Malvarosa you will have one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and two triple bedrooms, three bathrooms, a spacious living-room with divan bed, and a large kitchen with a dining area.
Villa Malvarosa is a sea villa, isolated and surrounded by its own garden. It is located on the road which descends from the center of Massa Lubrense towards the sea and the beach of Marina della Lobra . The villa is about 600 meters (about 1,968.5 feet) away both from Massa Lubrense and the beach.
Marina della Lobra is a tiny and picturesque fishermen hamlet consisting of a few old houses gathered around the beach, which is in the middle of a small bay. You will find a little port, shops, bars, and restaurants by the beach.
Villa Malvarosa is an isolated house built on a sloping land high above the sea. Although the sea is about 30 meters (about 98.5 feet) away below the villa, it cannot be reached from the house due to the high and rocky coast of the area.
The villa is surrounded by a large sloping garden subdivided in terraces where you will find olive groves and lemon trees. The garden stretches for 1000 square meters (about 10,764 square feet) from the level of the road towards the sea.
Right at road level there is the entrance gate to the property and a large terrace where you can park your car. Once through the gate, all you will have before your eyes is a vast horizon of blue sea and a stretch of verdant coast due to the lush crowns of olive trees. Amid the crowns of the olive groves and looking down below, you will catch a glimpse of the top terrace of the villa, a large rectangle area enclosed by a blue railing which overlooks the sea and all the scenery around. You will soon feel eager to descend along the pathway consisting of about 80 steps which will lead you to the house.
The house is two-storey high, and floors are connected either through an indoor staircase or through an outdoor path within the garden.
From the garden you will be able to go straight to the upper floor, where you will find four bedrooms and two bathrooms. A long terrace overlooking the sea and the island of Capri lies before three of the bedrooms. One of these three bedrooms, with a double bed and a single bed, leads to a second balcony with a sea view. The other two, a twin bedroom and a bedroom with three single beds (two of which can be joined together to make a double, if requested), have patio doors leading to the terrace overlooking the sea. The fourth bedroom, a double, has a window looking out on the garden. One bathroom features a bathtub with shower taps while a second bathroom has a shower. A third bathroom, with a shower, is on the ground floor next to the living-room.
Furnishings are comfortable.
A beautiful indoor staircase communicates the floor of the bedrooms with the living-room, on the ground floor. The living-room is spacious and bright. There are two patio doors which lead to the terrace overlooking the sea and a third patio door leading to the garden. You will find a comfortable living area with a divan bed, two armchairs, a satellite-dish TV, and a table with chairs.
Interior is pleasant with beautiful age-old furniture and a glossy handmade terracotta floor.
A small corridor leads to the kitchen. You will find a very spacious room partially divided in two areas by a wall. In one side you will find a large dining table and in the other a spacious and comfortable kitchen area. A patio door will lead you from the kitchen to the terrace overlooking the sea. On the terrace you will have a table with chairs to have meals outdoor.
In the kitchen you will find a four-burner stove, an electric oven, a dishwasher, a fridge with freezer, and small appliances. Next to the kitchen there is also a laundry-room with a washing machine.
The garden of Villa Malvarosa will definitely be one of your favorite places to relax outdoors in the shade and feel the perfumes of a Mediterranean garden. You will be able to enjoy perfect peacefulness in a place where the only sounds caressing your ears will be those of the waves of the sea and the birds …
A large flat area next to the living-room is paved in stone and shaded by the light and silvery crowns of very high olive trees, typical of the Sorrento Coast . Before your eyes and framed by the leafage of the olive trees is the sea and a picturesque glimpse of the scenery formed by the bay of Marina della Lobra, with its background outlined by the island of Capri.
In this area of the garden you will find a barbecue, deck chairs, umbrellas, and little whicker tables and armchairs. In another area of the large garden you will also find a ping-pong table.
The sun-drenched area
An outdoor wrought-iron staircase will enable you to ascend onto the top terrace, which is the great ‘belvedere’ of the villa and also a splendid sun-drenched area of 100 square meters (1,076 square feet). From the terrace you will have a 360º view of the sea and the coast.
Particularly fascinating is the view of the bay of Marina della Lobra and the island of Capri, which is seen clear and near you. During limpid days you will feast your eyes on the entire arched Gulf of Naples and the islands of Ischia and Procida . When night falls you will feel like stopping for a moment to enjoy the sunset over the sea: watch out though, for when the sky turns from red to dark blue and all the lights along the gulf are lit, you may become way too romantic …
The closest beach is the one in Marina della Lobra, about 600 meters (about 1,968.5 feet) away. You can enjoy it free of charge or use services offered by beach establishments therein. Near the beach you will find bars and restaurants by the sea, a picturesque little port, and several tourist activities.

The service was great. They met us at the Villa and helped us with our baggage upon our arriving. The home was very nice and the views were breath taking. The location was great, only a short distance to Sorrento. We loved Villa Malvarosa and we would stay there again without question. There were eight of us, (4 married couples) and the house was just the right size. This Villa is highly recommended. Our least favorite was probably the overall cleanliness of certain areas of the villa. The beds and bathrooms were very clean, the floors and kitchen area needed attention which we cleaned ourselves. But really no big deal.

Summer in Italy were very professional and helpful. The home we stayed in was just beautiful. It had everything you could ask for. There are lots of steps down to the property so if you stay here you need to be very mobile. The house is located about 1/2k from the Marina del Lobra a small very lovely little marina which has a small grocery store run by Toni who is also very helpful. Massa Lubrense is under a kilometer in the other direction and it has more shops, it is a very nice small Italian town where you can get buses to Sorrento and other places. The girl in the Tourist Office was lovely and very helpful.
We stayed ay Villa Malvarosa in May and the weather was just fantastic. I cannot think of anything I disliked about the house or the location. It was just beautiful. If I ever get the chance I will visit there again.

'Summer in Italy' Were great. We had the most beautiful taste of Italy. The owners of the villa met us as arranged and made us most welcome. The property was clean and charming and very authentic. Sunsets from the balcony were spectacular and seeing the cruise ships all lit up pass silently by was magical. We had all we needed in the property and the surrounding countryside was lovely. One thing to consider is the climb down and back up with heavy suitcases to the parking spot(at road level) but this inconvenience is little compared to the joy of peace and privacy once there. The driving along the coast roads is quite challenging at times but well worth the views. All in all a FAB time !!!!!!!!!

Villa Malvarosa is a spectacular villa with all the amenities. Having breakfast on a balcony overlooking the Bay of Naples and Capri was fantastic. We were delighted with the rooms, the views, and everything that was available for our use. The owners and the renting agency went out of their way to ensure our every wish. There was even a jar of homemade lemon jam in the fridge!
The location is unique and since we didn't have a rental car, we found the buses and taxis easy to use. There were six of us so sharing the cost of large taxis was affordable, comfortable and convenient.
The only negative was that three of us had/have bad knees and so had to plan our days to climb the stairs up to the main road only once a day. Even so, the views just kept getting better, so that made the climb bearable.
