elais Mamma mia is situated in Nerano, one of seventeen villages that make up the city of Massa Lubrense. Tucked perfectly against foothills of the Amalfi Coast, Relais Mamma Mia offers you the utmost privacy and serenity that you desire in an exclusive Italian villa. At the sides and back, Villa Marinella is beautifully wrapped by the beautiful foothills, but at the front of the villa, the sea and sky open up. As soon as you walk through the gates of this luxurious villa and see the tile inlay on the steps and driveway, you know that Relais Mamma mia is for those with the expensive tastes. The immaculate garden, amazing stonemasonry and tilework throughout the property, and the awe-inspiring view from the pool area will give you reason alone to stay at the villa for your entire time in the Amalfi Coast. Why would you want to leave? This gorgeous villa comfortably sleeps up to 7 people and offers an elegant sanctuary with unparalleled peace and quiet.
At Relais Mamma Mia, you will find two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, den, dining room, flat screen televisions, a self-catering kitchen, a washing machine, and a large private and terraced garden with, among other things, a pizza oven, barbecue, and dining table.
On the top terrace, you will find plenty of space to park your cars or scooters. A stone walkway leads you to the pool area, where you will find a grass lawn that sits next to the large, in-ground pool, surrounded by a wooden deck. Here, you will have the most amazing view…you will truly want to spend all day and evening by the pool, as you rest, relax, and take in both the sun and the panoramic view of the Amalfi Coast, Li Galli Islands, and Mediterranean Sea. When you decide to finally go back inside the villa, twelve steps take you down to the main entrance. You can also access the bedrooms from the garden and pool area. (The pool is open from the 1st May to the 1st October)
The Master Bedroom and Bathroom
From the living room, a beautiful wooden, fifteen-step spiral staircase takes you to the master bedroom. On the same level as the pool, the large double bed in the master bedroom offers the same spectacular view of the Amalfi Coast, Li Galli Islands, and Mediterranean Sea. High ceilings and a spacious wardrobe complement the master bedroom. Double glass doors that bring in a lot of natural light lead you from the master bedroom to the pool and garden area.
The master bathroom offers tile floors, bathtub and shower, toilet, bidet, and sink, as well as a large window to let in the beautiful Italian sun.
Guest Bedrooms, Bathroom, and Wine Cellar
The guest bedroom has three single beds. These beds can be pushed together if you need to change your sleeping needs. That is, for example, two single beds can be pushed together to make one comfortable double bed. Regardless, any guests sleeping in this room will have the same view as those sleeping in the master bedroom…the breathtaking, panoramic sea view. High ceilings, double glass doors that lead to the garden and pool area, and storage space for your clothes also complement the guest bedroom.
Living Room, Den, Indoor Dining Room, and Guest Bathroom
The main entrance takes you first into the large living room and attached den. There is a large sofa that pulls out to a comfortable double bed that sleeps two people. Bookshelves and a large flat screen television line the walls of the living room. In the den, you will find another sofa that pulls out to a double bed for two, as well as a large dining table. In thesecomfortable rooms, you and your loved ones can relax on the sofas, watch television, and surf the web via WiFi connection that is available throughout the property.
From the den, a hall leads you to the guest bathroom, where you will find a toilet, bidet, shower, wash basin/sink, and washing machine.
The den also leads you to the kitchen.
The kitchen is furnished with beautiful marble countertops and wooden cabinets. All the amenities are at your disposal: a refrigerator/freezer, gas oven, stove top with four gas burners, kettle, toaster, and microwave.
The kitchen, then, takes you out to the ground terrace, where you will find a large brick pizza oven, barbecue, dining table, and an outdoor kitchenette. This area is perfect to have a private chef serve you a decadent meal or to make pizzas for a fun, authentic pizza party....Read more

Four of us who stayed at Relais Mamma mia had the most incredible week of enjoying local culture in Italy. The pizza oven outside was fantastic, the accommodations were perfect for a relaxing vacation, the neighbors (owners) are incredibly friendly, and their recommendations for local activities were perfect. We will definitely be back to rent this place again!

All the Feeling Italy staff were very helpful and efficient. They made sure that everything went smoothly.
The villa and location were outstanding and the owner, who was on site, went out of his way to make sure that we got the very best out of our holiday. His local knowledge was invaluable and he arranged both excursions and restaurant bookings for us.
Although the beds were a bit firmer than we were used to everything else about the villa exceeded our expectations. We particularly enjoyed the lovely swimming pool and all the different outside seating areas. At any time of day it was always possible to find either a sunny or shady spot.
The villa was within walking distance of the small resort of Marina Del Cantone with it's restaurants and boat trips to Capri and amalfi. These were trips not to be missed. Much better in every respect than getting the ferry from Sorrento. The excellent bus service meant that we did not had to drive everywhere.

Our stay at Villa Marinella was very enjoyable. The villa is in a beautiful location and the various outside seating areas were ideal. The villa itself could benefit from an electric kettle and toaster which would have made a big difference and an extra set of towels would have been good. However it is a lovely spacious and comfortable villa. The owners who live next door respect your privacy but were also happy to answer any questions that we had.
Feeling Italy who handled our booking were excellent and the Italian people in general couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful.
All in all a fantastic holiday.

"Beautiful villa with wonderful views but let down by lack of pri"

This was a superb villa, slightly let down by a few missing touches and difficult access. However the biggest disappointment was the proximity of the owners, who although friendly always seemed on top of you, particularly the pool area. The owners villa is adjacent and their veranda, frequently used by them, directly overlooks the pool. On arrival we were told that we would not see anything of them, but this was not the case. Also the separate access passed by the pool and seemed to be used by other persons and workmen. Since the pool area is for exclusive use of guests it would really benefit from screening off.
As has been frequently reported the WiFi does not work. The signal is very unstable and I do not believe the router is in the villa but is next door in the owners as the signal improved closer to the pool. I would have phoned Feeling Italy about this, but was unable to get a stable mobile phone signal either.
The access road to the villa for the last 100 metres is very difficult to negotiate with tight bends and narrow width. A small car is recommended for this. Also the local roads are very tight and twisting.
There is a pebble beach with a number of restaurants within a 15 minute walk. Although access is steep in parts it is quite accessible and should not pose a problem for most.
"Amazing Villa and grounds with a fantastic view."

The villa was clean and tidy on arrival. It was very spacious and the grounds and pool were great. The spiral staircase in the villa would not make this property suitable for anyone with young children or anyone with mobility problems. It is situated in a lovely area (walking distance) near a small village by the coast where you could get a meal and a drink in local restaurants and bars. You definitely need a car to get there and out and about. The only downside was very hard mattresses on the beds (not good for bad backs!) and the internet did not work in the villa, but apart from that we had a lovely holiday there. Would definitely consider going back. Read more

"Beautiful villa but owners live onsite"

This is a beautiful villa with good facilities and the best poolside view I have ever seen. Once we had discovered the friendly village of S. Agata sui Due Golfi we had a wonderful time. However, there were a couple of things that we were disappointed in. The owners of the villa are very nice but they live onsite next to the pool, which is the opposite of the 'utmost privacy' we were promised in the villa description. Also, the Wi-Fi doesn't work despite saying there is a signal; we did flag this up but it was never fixed. Our rep from Feeling Italy, Chris, was very friendly and helpful and nothing seemed like too much trouble. We would book through Feeling Italy again but next time we would stay nearer to S. Agata as the walk down to Marina del Cantone is incredibly steep and, as usual in this part of Italy, the roads are thin, twisting and treacherous. Read more
Thank you again for your stay and for your review.
Our sincere apologies for the Internet and privacy issues...
Just a couple of clarifications about these 2 points
Owners: yes they live in a unit adjacent to the villa but normally use separate entrances and spaces. Guests should have no spaces shared with them and we actually never had complains like this. We'll look into this and make sure that won't happen again.
Internet wifi: Yes, unfortunately we've experienced some problems with the internet connection in the last week, and we're going to install this week a more stable, and fast, wifi connection with another company. Again our apologies for the inconvenience.
You are always welcome here.

We were quite nervous about booking this, given that there were no previous reviews to go on. However we had a fantastic stay, and highly recommend this villa.
1. Very friendly, personal service from Feeling Italy
2. Very clean, well-maintained villa and pool
3. Great location - close to Marina del Cantone
4. Stunning views from villa
5. Owner's family live on site and maintain the surrounding area every day
1. Tight roads getting to villa (but this is Italy!) - however we managed to drive a Ford Kuga in without any problems.
2. Wifi did not work throughout the stay (but Feeling Italy let us use their office wifi instead).

If you enjoy villa holidays then you'll love Villa Marinella. Spacious, comfortable, well furnished with beautiful views across the bay. Ideal to relax on the patio and take a dip in the lovely pool or take a short walk down to the beach at Marina del Cantone. The owners went out of their way to make us welcome and make our stay special. The tomatoes from their garden and fresh eggs were such a generous gift and reminded us just how good simple fare can taste. They were happy to advise on local trips and restaurants. They were even kind enough to make the bookings for us on what proved to be a most delightful boat trip along the coast and one of the most memorable Sunday Lunches (local speciality of mixed anti pasti then zucchini pasta) we have ever enjoyed. 30 minutes or so drive to Sorrento where you can leave the car and catch the local train around the bay to Naples and the ancient sights of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius. The Villa Marinella is an ideal location for a stay in this wonderful part of Italy. One where you have the added bonus of feeling part of the local community and we were fortunate enough to be made to feel that we were part of the family. Feeling Italy provide an excellent service, they made everything easy for us, kept in regular contact before our visit and provided all the information, advice and assistance that we needed. If you are thinking of a visit to the amalfi area they are the people to contact and Villa Marinella a wonderful place to stay.
