On the outskirts of the Italian municipality of Massa Lubrense, approximately twenty-five kilometers southeast of Naples on the famed Amalfi Coast lies Villa Aretusa. This six-bedroom vacation home capable of accommodating up to fourteen guests is where rustic old world charm is paired with a backdrop of natural beauty of the Tyrrhenian Sea and Southern Italy. Caught between the perks of the villa and the allure of the surrounding views, guests find it hard to choose between staying on the property or venturing out.
Upon arriving at the Villa Aretusa, guests will be met by a welcome cocktail and will also receive delicious daily breakfasts. The villa will be maintained throughout guests’ visits with daily housekeeping. The outdoor lounge has been furnished with lounge chairs, tables, built-in benches with cushions and various lighting to make it the perfect area to relax both day and night. A delightfully designed seawater pool has been built into the natural rocks and paved with beach stones. An adjacent pool house features an outdoor shower, a kitchenette with gas stovetop, a refrigerator and a double sink.
Villa Aretusa’s interior has been sumptuously decorated. The kitchen successfully merges together old world decor with subtly placed modern appliances. The dining area is connected to the living room, containing parquet floors, a fireplace with antique ceramic tiles, large sea-facing windows and access to the ground floor terrace. The rooftop terrace boasts an amazing view of Capri, Ischia and Procida.
The villa possesses six comfortable and warmly decorated, air conditioned bedrooms. The master bedroom has been furnished with queen size bed, large dresser, telephone, TV and has a private en-suite bathroom and access to the first floor terrace. A pair of rooms, one with a queen bed and one with a twin, share a full bathroom. Two others rooms have both a double bed and single bed in each, and the last bedroom is equipped with a queen.
Villa Aretusa makes a perfect getaway spot for families, diverse groups and corporate retreats. The nearby town of Massa Lubrense boasts an upbeat lifestyle, delicious gastronomy and plenty of architectural wonder. Nearby beaches attract locals and international visitors by the thousands. Here is a just little slice of what the Italians call, la dolce vita, the sweet life!

planning the vacation with LR was a pleasure as it has been for me over the last 8-10 years. While planning this trip, there was a death in the family and LR was considerate to give us extra time to button up the details with respect to payment during the difficult time of losing my sister. I really appreciate this. Laura did a phenomenal job of choosing a very interesting and certainly UNIQUE property. Some details I would include in the description of the villa are: 1. anyone visiting should know BEFOREHAND the trip traversing up and down the property is enough to get those who get motion sickness, sick. 2. the site states 60 steps to swimming pool-in fact, there are more than 120, therefore anyone with any type of disability won't be able to reach this 3. Internet access in the villa is extremely limited. There is only one staff member, anna, extremely accommodating, capable, very good cook, sweet and very reachable. No complaints with respect to her. - Roger P., New York, USA

Beautiful place. Some things were not fully disclosed...5 bedrooms made available, not 7 and when we used a 6th we were made to feel badly. Impossible to get to the villa without a car (drivers and taxis will not take you down the road needed to get to the villa and it is not in easy walking distance so you must have a car and if it is even a medium size car without great experience, you are sure to have issues since road is so narrow. We had to pay the cleaning woman's husband $100 euro for 3 five minute car trips so we could meet our drivers to take us to the airport). However, absolutely scenic, home maintained extremely well, the owner does care and makes herself very accessible so although a few things aren't exactly as represented she wants you to have a wonderful visit. The ocean and pool are spectacular and it is a terrific taste of Italy's magnificence. We also enjoyed the little pub/restaurant around the corner. - Scott S., ,
