Additional Location Information

There are 3 condo complexes at Kaluakoi, West Molokai, but our Kepuhi Beach Condominiums are the ones that are oceanfront. South of complex is Papohaku Beach, the longest sand beach in Hawaii. To the north is a series of small beaches between rocky points, with ancient waterside fishing trail connecting them, toward Ilio Point. Most folks love exploring the outdoors here, hiking, swimming, snorkeling, shopping. There is not much in the way of bars and nightlife on Molokai. No traffic lights. There is an adventurous paved road along the ocean and then over the pali into Halawa Valley at the other end of the island, and waterfall and Hawaiian culture tours there by our friend Pilipo Solatario. There are wonderful free community group singalongs you will not forget by Na Ohana Ho Aloha (at Coffees of Hawaii, Sunday afternoons), and the kupuna and Lono (Friday evenings, at Hula Shores at Hotel Molokai). Most folks rent a car at the airport, to explore the island. With 4WD you can often go up Mt. Kamakou to the tropical bog at the top. Snorkeling tours, sailing, golf, charter fishing. The turkeys and birds come by your deck. The axis deer bark while running by at night, if it has been dry.
