Pacific Beach Palapa

Pacific Beach Palapa is the name for Palapa Mar on FlipKey. It is not on the beach.

Palapa Mar is a secluded, modern cabin with kitchen, private bath and terrace in a gated property. WiFi, parking, purified bottled water, maid service and more. Minutes walk to the beaches.

At Las Mazuntinas, we offer quiet nights in a secure, relaxed atmosphere in a Mexican beach town 40 minutes from HUX international airport. Hosts Tiki & David have made a special place for their guests.

Additional Location Information

The map doesn't name Mazunte. Mazunte is immediately to the west of [and is larger than] San agustinillo. You will note roads going towards the shore. They are in Mazunte and so are we!
The "Coasta Chica" of Oaxaca has been written about in many guide books. The problem is that they haven't edited those books and kept up with the changes.
Mazunte, and the neighboring coastal villages of Ventinilla, San Agustinillo and Zipolite offer the chance to see the face of real Mexico. The Oaxacan cuisine is world renouned, the tranquil villages and beaches are wonderful. The international feel you experience is relaxed and genuine, enhanced by the travelers from around the world who come to the area.
Mazunte has an international feel due to the diversity of the community. Besides the local Mexicans, there are many from Europe and both North and South America who have settled here. There are fresh food stores specializing in fruits, vegetables, the days' catch [everything from tuna, red snapper, dorado, pargo, even locally caught lobster.] If you are fortunate enough to be here for them, there are special events including an annual jazz festival [mid November] and other festivals. [New Years is a treat.]
Many restaurants (some fine dining) are very close by, beaches, beaches, surfing, yoga, laundry, Mexican Center for the Sea Turtle, "swim with the turtles" and mangrove lagoon boat trips (whale watching in season), white water rafting, water hikes and bird watching trips along the Copalito and San Francisco rivers, ample night life, Nov. jazz festival (write for dates), renouned Natural Cosmetics Cooperative. beach attire and souvenir shops. Mazunte is family friendly.
Hospital in nearby Pochutla and a clinic very close by in Mazunte.
Mazunte is home to the Mexican Center for the Sea Turtle where the country's conservation efforts are centered. The thriving community is aware of the role that travelers and vacationers play in the local economy and strive to make the visitors' experience a fulfilling one. Also, the area is not that large and most people walk to get around. The short distances help. IF you want to go further afield [say 10 minutes away to Zipolite] catch a pasajero or get a taxi for fast transport. It is easy to get around here.
Puerto Escondido - home of the Mexican Pipeline [thats surfing] and other fun events is less than an hour to the west and the Bahias de Huatulco resort development is an hour to the east. The Huatulco international airport [HUX] is a 40 minute drive.
