Just wanted to leave a comment about my recent stay at Meeks Bay Harmony for the 3 bedroom sleeps 10 place. It was a perfect rental spot on Tahoe: easy ride to all the ski resorts on the western part of the Lake, house is well equipped for cooking and relaxing. Everything in tip top shape. Would stay there again for sure! ~Jeanne

We stayed here for a couple nights and really enjoyed the amount of space. There is a living-room with a fire place on the second floor, a hot-tub on the deck, and three rooms on the third floor. There is a fantastic and spacious den on the first floor with its own fire place, couches (two futons that), and a TV with a small selection of movies. What we didn't expect was the generous amount of firewood and the great view of the lake. The only thing that I was displeased with was the they cut the power during one of the days from 9am to 4PM which forced even those of us that were not skiing out of the house, but I understand that it was out of their control and cleverly accounted for in the property rental agreement.
We're so glad that enjoyed your stay here in beautiful Lake Tahoe. We try to make your vacation as care-free as we possibly can. You're right about the power issue - they don't let us know those things..... A little fore-warning would be helpful and appreciated by all! We do hope to see you back again soon!

This is a comfortable home, fairly clean, just needs some updating. The stairs/railings are a bit rickety so if you have rambunctious little ones you may want to keep an extra eye on them. I was up over 4th of July and it must be pretty busy, I think the cleaning service may have overlooked a few items. The coffee pot was missing the top (which makes it hard to brew coffee!)and there was only one frypan (that we could find)as all of the pots and pans were thrown quite haphazardly into a cupboard and I didnt feel right pulling everything out and reorganizing it. The only other drawback is the water is quite a jaunt away down meandering pathways that are very confusing, we passed a few other folks that were renting and they were having the same problem. Much easier to find from the water walking up!
Lastly I must say, the customer service with "stay at lake tahoe" was awesome. When I called about the coffee pot at 8am they asked if they could bring a new one out immediately. On the second night at about 2 minutes to 5PM (they close at 5) the front door lock "stuck" and we were locked out, they had a locksmith there within 30 minutes and also called to follow up to make sure I had gotten in safely and all was well. The staff was helpful and courteous. We will definitely use "Stay at Lake Tahoe" again.

It is a typical old house. like a small bed rooms , small bath room, small kitchen and smell like old house.
But there is a big room on down stairs. It can be easy to 8 people sleep there.
We could not make work on wood stove. It require to know about better.
In money wise , this house is good deal.

I am in the middle of a ten day stay here. Cozy home, a hop to the lake for a morning dip. Large screen tv for great Olympics viewing, all you need in the kitchen (including espresso maker) for great dinners overlooking the lake on the large deck. There are two and a half bathrooms, washer dryer, and ample rom for 10 to sleep comfortably. I'll be back as soon as I can be!

Nice property. Couple of suggestions ... make it easier for the renter to identify which 'buoy' is theirs. In addition, the silverware is not good (the forks 'tweak' with minimal pressure). There weren't any pans to cook (in the oven) with. The downstairs t.v. didn't work. The internet was 'spotty' @ best.
Overall, a good experience ~ the 'above' are just fyi (for future upgrades).
Thank you for the review - I forwarded it on to the Owners for their information. They had just recently pruchased this home and are still putting their "touches" on this home to be sure that every guest has an exceptionally wonderful time. The TV just needed to be plugged in FYI.
Internet in Tahoe is a challenge - we are surrounded by mountains, and cell phones are useless in some areas also. The HOA sets the rules for the buoys - and marking them - and the owners must follow those rules. The owner did email and speak with you about the exact buoy location before and during your stay, our other guests have not had a problem with finding it at all. I do hope that overall you enjoyed your stay here in Tahoe.
