The house was pretty good. I say pretty good, because it could have been better with cleanliness and maintenance. Eg, there were big marks and scuffs on the walls, lights out over the kitchen area which made cooking difficult, the cord for the blinds in the living area was broken, stuff like that.
Having air conditioning in each room was excellent though, as it was very hot and muggy. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. The little gift pack on arrival was a nice touch.
Getting in and out of the garage is no easy feat, as it is at the end of a lane with no room for turning. People were often parked in the way too, so this made it tricky.
The area itself is cute and access to the beach and cafes is great, if that's what you're after. And having a lounge that could seat us all was great. So many places that can sleep six, can only seat 3 in the living area - stupid. My tip to all self catered accommodation is a big comfy lounge!

- Early check-in was easily arranged
- Stayed for more than a week, had cleaning service mid-stay
- Excellent wifi, 5 of us was online at the same time without problem
- Clean, spacious, bright house, quiet, residential neighborhood
- Kitchen was well-equipped although dish washer didn't work very well, had to clean each load of dishes twice
- Felt safe walking at night, ~ 20 to 25 min walk to the Melbourne Convention Center, 5-7 min walk to tram line to the city

First impressions were just at how breathtaking this property actually is. Photos do not do it justice. Rooms are a great size & we did not feel like anything was missing the whole weekend. Breathtaking views on the rooftop. Great location, easy to walk to the nearest tram stoy, walking distance to Bay street. Made our stay in Melbourne much more enjoyable. Will defiantly stay/recommend this property again.

I am not sure if the month I nominated is correct but we attempted to stay at Cambridge recently anyway.
When we arrived the house looked like someone had been living downstairs. There were toenails on the couch, grime on the floors, table and benches. It hand't been vacuum or washed. We asked to change houses but were told there were no others available by one manager. We were refused a refund and lost all our money- over $2000. We will never stay with boutique stays again unless we are given a refund or credit.

For a family visit to Melbourne this townhouse was very comfortable and well fitted out - consistent with 5 star standards. We thought we would try it as an alternative to the Southbank apartment belt. We were generally happy, but the townhouse is located at the end of a diffcult to find Port Melbourne back lane. Parking is provided but it is difficult for visitors to find the place and find street parking. On the other hand it is 5 minutes walk to the nearest light rail stop and a similar distance to the local milk bar.
