On a positive note, this house was really well located, just off Swan street and therefore accessible to some great restaurants, take-aways and cafes. Tram stops not far from the house too- direct line to the city.
Unfortunately, the house was not as good as the other homes we have had the pleasure to stay in. Microwave not working on arrival,no hangars in the wardrobes, kitchen equipment was very limited and of mediocre quality. Unfortunately for us, we compared with another property we had stayed in in Richmond which had all the above and more !
Being used to a better kitchen set-up, we expected to be able to prepare a lot of meals during our 2 week stay... Which unfortunately was not possible due to the lack of kitchen equipment - maybe this was because we were closer here to the local eateries than the previous property !
We wouldn't stay here again only because we like a bit more room to move in and we are very fussy about having a good workable kitchen as eating out every night for 2 weeks for a family of 5 can become pretty expensive.

I recently stayed here as a family member was very ill. After long days spent at the hospital it was a lovely place to come back to - beds were so comfortable and the place had a great feel as soon as you stepped in . I would definately stay there again

We spent a week in Mary's Place during January and found it convenient and charming. Plenty of room for a family of 5 with restaurants and takaway places within walking distance along Swan Street and Bridge Road. Trams into the city along those roads as well, and train stations within walking distance. Lovely renovation with stylish features, peaceful courtyard, washing machine and dryer handy for longer stays. Sheets and towels changed after 4 days. Welcome pack included consumables.

Mary's Place was light, airy, clean and comfortable and everything you need to feel at home is provided - even down to condiments and basic needs before you get time to shop. Just a short walk to a lovely park, but closer still are local shops, including an amazing deli with wonderful breads and gourmet snacks.
Finding a parking space can be a challenge depending on the time of day, but once settled, the local transport system is good so you don't need to vacate your spot once you have claimed it.

We really enjoyed staying in Marys Place. It was centrally located and easy to use public transport to travel in and out of the centre of Melbourne. I was on my own with our 4 year old twins the first few days whilst my husband was working away and there were plenty of local shopping facilities which we could use. Sadly the weather was cold so we were unable to make use of the outside area/BBQ. The neighbour hood was safe and quiet at night. The cottage was well equipped although and we had everything we needed. The washing machine was a bonus with having young children. There were lots of restaurants and breakfast places to eat out in nearby too within walking distance if you didn't have a car like us.Very comfy beds and linen/towels. Book it you'll love this charming little cottage!
"Compact No open the doors outside comes in great place for BBQ"

Great Location not far from Melbourne CBD tram almost to the door (400 metres).
House was very well appointed throughout comfortable beds and plenty space. Living area bifold doors opening out to paved yard. Bbq and table setting perfect for weekend of family BBQ get togethers. No onsite parking bhut 4 cars never had issues check though time of year very close to MCG sporting venues.
"Mary's Place was a very pleasant, comfortable environment."

We stayed at Mary's place for two months as our house had been flooded. It was fantastic for us, well positioned for us all to get to work and we enjoyed the easy dining options to close at hand.
My only negative comment was the cleaning team. I understood from the management that they were to be there for 40 minutes plus to clean the house. I felt they were not thorough and were there for only 15 to 20 mins. When you look closely at the house, it needs a "good"clean and is starting to look a bit tired in certain areas and needs some refreshing. Apart from that, we were very happy there and delighted to have found such a grerat house.

There were several hiccups with Boutique Stays themselves with late check-in resulting in sitting on the house verandah waiting for the key to the house . There was also no parking permit initially. The cleaners weren't great. The house itself was excellent and served our needs perfectly.

A thoroughly enjoyable time was had during our stay at Mary's Place. A great location, handy to restaurants, cafes, transport and the city.
Was always good to come back to the comfort of the house after a day out - was like coming home. Thankyou.

Marys Place proved the ideal home away from home for our family of 5 for the spring school holidays. It was so handy for great restaurants and shops, and only a half hour walk to the city for work. The house was immaculately presented, and very liveable. So much better than taking a serviced apartment! A perfect choice.
