Mid-Century Modern Vacation Rental Cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee (STE16W)
Vintage, mid-century modern cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee. Located in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood on Spindle Point facing Stonedam Island and Cummings Cove, this two-bedroom, one-bath cottage is the perfect place to relax, unplug and recharge. Enjoy lakeside living from the open-air lower deck, screened upper porch or L-shaped dock with an 8’x6’ seating area. Inside, you’ll find authentic mid-century styling and a mix of modern conveniences and 1960s charm (with just the right amount of kitsch to keep it fun). An open floor plan combines the living room and kitchen with breakfast bar. The kitchen is stocked with vintage china, glassware, serving pieces and bar ware. The two bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other with a double, host four people comfortably. The upper porch has chaises and chairs for reading or napping and a redwood picnic table for dining and conversing. There’s a full bath with shower, a gas grill and garage access for storing bikes. For recreation, you’ll find excellent conditions for swimming, kayaking, water skiing and tubing. Take a scenic walk on the 1.2-mile loop around Spindle Point or the short wooded trail up Eagle Mountain; or go for a run on the rolling lakeside roads. Dig and wade at the residents-only beach a short drive away. Play board game favorites from the game closet, or take each other on at ping-pong. Wi-Fi and cable TV are provided for guests who don’t want to unplug completely. This cottage has been making wonderful summer memories for the young and young-at-heart since 1963—enjoy your time here and take away your own memories. This is a non-smoking, no-pets property.
