“The Most Disgusting, Terrible Place to Stay in all of Miami”

Where do I begin...we were in Miami for a bachelorette weekend and had 2 junior suites. I called earlier that week to request the suites be either connecting or adjoining, and the woman who I spoke to at the time guaranteed it. When checking in, the room was already prepaid so a deposit was required for incidentals (which was expected). For my receipt for incidentals I was given a piece of paper with my name and the payment written on it, and I was told if I did not have that same piece of paper at the time of departure I would not be able to receive my deposit back, like at all. When we walked upstairs to the rooms the hallway was dark and the lights were flickering near the doors, as if we were in some horror type film. There were wet paint signs on the doors and there was still construction going on in several rooms on the hallway. Are rooms were not adjoining or connecting as promised and after confirming twice - when calling ahead and at check-in. When we entered the rooms, most of the outlets weren't working, the phone wasn't working in one (no dial tone), the was debris that fell from the ceiling all over the floor as if someone was not finished working on the room, there were no comforters or blankets on the beds (only a flat sheet), the paint was chipped on all the doors and the walls, there was tissue already in the toilet in one room, there was several pieces of hair in the shower, the shower drain was broken in one room and left in the middle of the shower, the accent chair one of the rooms had been ripped and cloth was hanging from the bottom to the front of the chair, the coffee table in both living rooms was chipped in different places, the lawn chair for the balcony was torn in one room, and the television in the living room would not turn on in one room. The first night we were there, we went to get groceries for our 2 rooms, and when we came back the doorman would not let us use the cart to take our groceries up, even though we were guests staying there. Our wonderful Uber driver found us a Wal-Mart shopping cart nearby and helped us unload the groceries. Then, when we tried to enter the doorman told us we had to use the service elevator because the wheels would scratch the floor of the lobby. There was another night we all went out to South Beach and came back at 4am and there was one of the older women working there standing outside the hotel in a robe blocking the entrance of the hotel. Apparently, they had just kicked out some underage drinkers who were trying to re-enter the hotel. I told the lady what rooms we were staying in, and even showed her my I.D. to prove I was 25 and old enough to drink. She then still tried to deny us access to the rooms. Luckily, the valet man from the night before showed us the service elevator entrance so we did not have to wait - the treatment was absolutely absurd. The entire staff was completely cold, short, rude, and distant towards all of the members of my group. All we had were questions that needed to be answered. We didn't cause any noise complaints, destroy any of the rooms even more than they already were, or show any rudeness towards the staff. This was one of the worst decisions I have ever made in my entire life, and I will NEVER recommend this place to any or stay here EVER again! This place should be ashamed to still be in business!
