The apartment is located on the ground floor of an 18th century building in which the famous fashion firm holds some of its offices. Once you’ve entered the building from the quiet Via Borgonuovo, the access is found on the right hand side of the palace inner courtyard, behind two doors. The space is small but very well organized, and above all finished with great taste and attention to detail. The lower space contains a precious wooden table surrounded by four comfortable chairs. Two of the four available walls of the room are taken by the large steel top of the kitchen and by its dark green solid wood components. The space is further embellished by the presence of other quality furnishings and their colorful, shiny surfaces, and by the lighting coming from the beautiful lamps. Also, some works of art and pictures are found on the walls. The bathroom recalls the green tones of the kitchen and its size appears to be increased by a clever play of mirrors and lacquered surfaces. The bed is located on the upper floor on a comfortable carpet, under a romantic vault. Other quality furnishings, such as the two golden closets and the lacquered vanity table, complete the picture and help make your short stay in the city even more pleasant.
This very special accommodation is located in the heart of the so-called “Armani district”, within the Brera area, near to the most famous shopping streets of Via Montenapoleone and Via della Spiga (also called Quadrilatero della Moda). Besides the Pinacoteca, the Brera building is also home to the Museo Astronomico, the Orto Botanico and the Accademia di Belle Arti. Due to the presence of the Accademia, during the 60s the Brera became a place for artists and bohemian intellectuals, although today such a side of Brera is no longer easily recognizeble. Brera has in fact turned into one of the most commercial and sophisticated neighborhoods of the city, full of expensive boutiques, top class restaurants and hotels, as well as art galleries and showrooms for all tastes. This area is particularly busy during the city’s two main commercial events: the Fashion Week and the Salone. From this location you can quickly reach on foot many other destinations, such as the Teatro Alla Scala, the Armani Hotel, and the Museo Poldi Pezzoli. The apartment is also located between Milan’s two historic parks: the Parco Sempione and the Giardini Pubblici di Porta Venezia, 15 minutes away from Piazza Duomo. Also, you shouldn’t miss Via San Marco’s street market if you wish to purchase some of your favourite Italian food products....Read more
