“Perfect Family Vacation Spot!” We scoured this and other websites for two months looking for the perfect spot for our first vacation as a young family of four... and we found it at this lovely home! Around every corner was exciting new activities for both kids and adults. At the end of each day of our stay, my three-year-old and one-year-old each passed out with exhaustion after a day of playing at the beach, marveling at nearby waterfalls, exploring the lake via kayaks and canoes, and playing with the numerous toys and books throughout the house. And when they did pass out, we adults got to enjoy grilled steaks and a nice bottle of wine overlooking beautiful sunsets over the lake from the second floor deck. I think my three-year-old said it best: "I love the lake house daddy; can we come back again and again?" Indeed. Great owners as well -- thorough, clean, and responsive.

“Lovely!” I had a wonderful and relaxing stay here for a writing retreat. This place is so beautiful and peaceful. The cabin is lovely, large, clean, comfortable, and has everything I needed. The property is amazing - a real natural setting, quiet except the sound of the beautiful creek tumbling by. It's easy to walk around and discover the beauty of the place - and the pine trees provide welcome shade and cool air in the summertime! I particularly enjoyed the screened-in porch and the path down by the river where you can meander along and see the waterfalls, and a new dam some beavers are building. The owner and caretaker are very accommodating, open to suggestions and available if you need them. A great retreat from the city life!

“Homey, Cozy, and CLEAN!” This house was one of my all time favorite houses! We were so comfortable and cozy in this house. We made ourselves right at home (which isn't easy for me to do!). Unfortunately, we didn't have the best weather (rain!), but were able to go sledding one day and utilized the stables twice (Shannon was wonderful there! This was a fantastic added bonus for my 7 year old who rides!) I'd love to visit this home in the fall. The fire pit in the yard looked fantastic (it was snow and ice covered for us), and we would love to take advantage of the trail rides at the stables. The owner was extremely attentive...I asked a lot of questions and she never made me feel like it was a problem...and was very quick to respond! We will definitely be back! “This house is very comfortable.” My husband and friends are hiking the Appalachian Trail and were in the area so we stayed here for a week and visited them . The house was so comfortable and had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for everybody. The owner was very nice and friendly. The kitchen had lots of pot pans, dishes and cooking utensils. My granddaughter and I loved seating on the deck and watching the wild life. The community is beautiful and very safe and secure and had great amenities. We are planning to return next year.

“Perfect house for reunions and private getaways” The house is absolutely beautiful! We had 11 people fit comfortably with ample room for meals and activities. The neighborhood is spaced out nicely - you truly feel like you have privacy on the back deck. The fire pit is a MUST for anyone visiting. The Top of the World bar/pool is only about a 10 minute walk away, so you can also get out and about if you're looking for a change of scenery. I would recommend to this space to anyone!

Beautiful view a peace all around!

This house had everything we could possibly want to enjoy our vacation! The house had gorgeous views from the living room and decks, as well as being well stocked with all the items we could possibly need to enjoy our family time together. Kayaks, canoes, floats, fire pit, puzzles, games and the grill on the upper deck. I was also happy that there were three sets of waterfalls all within 10 miles from the home that we could take a quick ride and go hiking. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, and for any of you who love birds, all you needed was to sit on the back deck and watch them fly all around you. We even searched out a beautiful Pileated Woodpecker which was a treat! A short two minute walk brought you to a restaurant and small beach, and a room with pool tables and ping pong and swings all of which were included in our stay. I didn't want to leave! The property is perfect for anyone who wants to unwind and get in touch with nature. The cabin is in impeccable shape with top notch accommodations. The owner has maintained the original feel and look to perfection, complete with great furniture and art. The property features many acres to explore and walk around. Only a few minutes from town, Sean is very generous in his attentiveness to his guests, often providing guidance and suggestions for what to do during your stay.
