I had a great stay...home location to priv beach was nice, neighborhood was nice, loved the bathtubs, home was really pretty, good space for the group we had. Beach was lovely and great private access. Caribe was convenient to everything.
There were only 3 things that need improvement:
1) the matresses were all very uncomfortable
2) the microwave was very old and did break during our stay
3) there was no info on how to access the beach. Google Maps shows the street going direct to beach; not correct (a cul de sac). And we had to wander around some to find the path. It was a Sunday so we could not simply call Compass.
"Georgeous home that is just steps from the beach!"

The service from Compass Resorts was very good. If I had a problem or issue they were very quick to resolve. The home is decorated beautifully. The owner thought of everyting that you would need to feel at home; right down to the all-Clad cookware in the kitchen. The location to the house to the beach couldn't better. Although you can't see the beach from this house, you can be on the sand in about 5 minutes. The neighborhood is safe and not far from great shopping and restaurants. This is the 2nd time my family has stayed in this neighborhood and will stay here again. What I liked least about my stay is: (1) The previous renters has a lot of garbage left over from their stay. When I arrived on Saturday we had to deal with their garbage plus our own and wait until Monday for garbage pick-up. I think the cleaning service should have made arrangements to have garbage taken away for new renters. (2)Check-in is from 4-6. We didn't get into the house until 6:30 because the house had not been cleaned yet. We had to wait at the pool/beach until house was cleaned. We arrived at 4:00 from a long drive and just wanted to relax. I know it was July 4th week but would have been nice to have house ready upon our arrival.

This is our second time to stay in this house. The neighborhood is wonderful and close to the beach. The house is in need of updating of all of the TVs and appliances - very old. Tthere was also a leak from the upstairs bathroom to the dining room. Also had a few unwanted insects in the house. Small investment in this house would make it a better rental stay.

We have stayed in many high end condos and homes in the Destin area and have been disappointed many times. This house was everything we thought it would be and was perfect for our family. The only things that really needs updating are the TVs in the house, and the appliances, they are all old and outdated! Also the Wifi Internet is horrible, it is very slow and does not work most of the time. So if you are on vacation and need the internet, you won't get it from this house, but everything else was great! The house and beach are wonderful! Short walk to the beach on a very nice dock. We have booked this house again for next year already!
"Beautiful home within walking distance to the stunning beach!"

The location was the best. The house was beautiful and well equipped. The most disappointing thing was that the whirlpool did not work...that is one reason we rented this house. The company did a good job getting keys and solving little problems.

We loved the house and the location. There were a few things that were needed in the home...ironing board, pizza pan, microwavable dishes. The windows and back patio needed to be cleaned, however I understand that we might have been the first rental of the season. There were also many lamps with burned out bulbs. Overall, it was an outstanding value, though!

My husband and I took our 11 month old daughter to the beach for the first time along with my sisters and their husbands. Arriving at the house we were immediately pleased with the beautiful and well kept home. And the inside is a jewel. With 2 huge master suites and 2 other spacious bedrooms, we all had more than enough room. Formal dining area was very nice for our "Family" dinner and as well as was the family room for wathcing a couple of movies after soaking up the sun at the beach all day and shopping at the more than coveniently located malls. We thought very hard about staying for another week. We will definitely return to the "Les antilles House" next year!

Les antilles House was everything we hoped for and more! The neighborhood of Rue Caribe is absolutely lovely and we were impressed with the beach area despite the concerns about the oil spill. The home had everything we needed. Compass Resorts did an excellent job providing timely information and assistance as needed.

I was hesitant to book a house so close to the Destin traffic but this location
was perfect for our teenagers that wanted to be near the Hilton and Surfside
spring break activities. Traffic was not an issue as long as we went East to eat.
Loved the house, plenty of room and decorated right out of Coastal Living! I
would recommend this house for any large family or two smaller families to
share. We served Easter brunch to 30 people using both dining rooms and

What we liked best:
Terrific location - close to the boardwalk/beach and pool. Not far from other attractions, restaurants, grocery, shopping.
The interior was terrific - three bedrooms w/full baths but one upstairs bedroom was without a toilet and had to use other upstairs bathrooms - if nature calls during the evening, would have to walk downstairs to use the toilet so not to disturb other guests. Very clean. TV's in all rooms.
What we liked least:
Kitchen - big disappointment when it comes to the appliances. Very old combination convection oven/microwave. Stove required specific cookware which could only be handwashed - HANDWASHING DISHES IS NOT MY IDEA OF A VACATION ACTIVITY!!! I don't even handwash dishes at my own home. Oven and fridge were fine.
Laundry room - another disappointing area. The dryer was very ineffective. Had to run 2 or 3 times to dry completely. Washer was fine.
Courtyard - okay, but could use a good pressure washing to remove all of the mold growing in the shade. Courtyard is completely in the shade. Did not use the grill.
Living room - Smallish, but decent TV - no DVD player so bring your own.
Wireless internet access is something you will have to pay for, but the service was decent and not expensive.

This was our second stay in the Caribe neighborhood. We loved the neighborhood our first stay in 2007, just wanted to experience a different home. We had a fabulous vacation in this beautifully designed and furnished home. The neighborhood of Caribe is a jewel. The landscaping is lush and the dune walkover to the beach is convenient. The neighborhood also offers two pools (small but certainly not crowded, we were usually the only ones at the pool when we went). I loved that the beach area is private (so we did not have the situation of umbrellas four deep and a mass of people) Of course, the white sand beaches can not be beat. Aaaahhhh, wish we were still there......

We live in a beautiful home, so it’s often times difficult to vacation. This home was absolutely lovely…I didn’t want to share the info so that people wouldn’t compete with me when trying to rent it for next year. The décor will blow your mind and I appreciated the cleanliness of the home. Only recommendation would be for the owners to upgrade the kitchen microwave…it worked, but it was dated…boy am I being picky!

We had a wonderful week in this home, Les Antilles, in gated Miramar Beach community. The house is fabulous -- we did not even mind some rainy days which kept us on the front porch or inside playing games, watching tv, etc. The boardwalk access to the sugar white beach is just steps away. There are two small community pools that are an easy walk too -- great for children.
Inside of the stately two story home is very nicely decorated and plenty space for a couple of families to share -- everyone can even be seated for dinner, if you choose.
There are two master suites with king beds and wonderful bathrooms. The third and fourth bedrooms are smaller, one having a small attached bath -- but both bedrooms are well appointed and nicely decorated.
Location is great for some excellent shopping and dining out as well. (Check out The Donut Hole for some wonderful donuts, breads, and pasteries!)
Note: neighborhood ordinance prohibits on street parking -- but there is room for at least three vehicles in the driveway, even though there is no garage.
