Las Palmeras

Nice townhouse located in Mojacar Playa in the quiet residential area known as El Palmeral, a very short walk ( 50 metres) to beach and amenities. The nearest beach is Playa del Descargador. Also, a short walk to the commercial center.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING SWIMMING POOLS

We do not guarantee the use of community swimming pools outside the main summer season. Swimming pools will be open from 1st July until 31st August. Outside that period we cannot be made responsible for swimming pools not being open.

This duplex has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, cloakroom, fully equipped separate kitchen, lounge diner, front and rear terraces and also a roof terrace with sea views.

“Could be nice but too many issues”

On arrival the first thing we noticed on opening the door (when we finally managed to get in) was the strong smell of damp. As we walked in we could see that the walls in the living room, kitchen and hall were covered in black mould!! As my elderly father who had come along with us is asthmatic this is a serious issue and had it not been 11.00 at night we would have walked out and found somewhere else to stay. The water coming out of the taps was brown and the toilets overflowed when we flushed them!!! Toilet seat was broken and fell off when sat on! Having spoken to the neighbours the following day, they told us that all the neighbouring properties had had new pipes installed for their drainage but the owner of this property had not bothered and that is the reason for the plumbing and damp issues!!! The bedding was poor with 1 very flat pillow per person, double bed with a very small sheet on it which was not wide enough to cover 2 small people and no blankets, throws or further bedding supplied at all!! When we put the air con in the bedroom water poored out from the unit and all over the bed and when we investigated this was because the outlet for the unit was going into a plastic bottle outside and the bottle was full up!!! There were other issues we encountered with the door locks and various other items. This property could be nice as the location is good although the beach is not great nearby and we went much further along Mojacar to get to the sandier part, however in the current state we feel it is not fit for rental and spoilt our holiday!
