Casa Biondi perfect for groups, bordering Castiglion del Bosco golf course with heated pool
Description from the manager
Enjoy the privacy of your own Tuscan home combined with resort-worthy amenities at Casa Biondi. Located on the Castiglion del Bosco estate in the Val d’Orcia region, the five-bedroom property has space for a large family or group of friends, rustic charm to spare and an ideal location just steps from the golf course. Explore the estate, tour local wineries or simply relax by the pool and take in the sunset views.
Set amid green lawns with panoramic views of rolling hills, the stone villa offers plenty of space to soak in the Tuscan sun. Choose from the chaise longues by the pool, a shady spot in the pool house, or a seat under the pergola off the back of the house. Though you’ll receive a daily pastry basket delivery, save room for a meal at the outdoor dining area. For entertainment, there’s video and board games and Wi-Fi access, and for comfort, there’s a fireplace and air conditioning.
Originally a farmhouse, the villa has been fully restored to preserve its stone walls and beamed ceilings, but the furnishings add a modern twist. In the living room, neutral sofas, wingback chairs in muted reds and a traditional-style wooden coffee table cluster around the cozy fireplace. The dining room is fresh and simple, with wooden chairs, warm white walls and plenty of light from the large window. In the fully equipped kitchen, a striking wood island makes a roomy work space or handy serving station.
Each of Casa Biondi’s five bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, flat-screen TV and a warm mix of traditional and rustic style. There are two bedrooms with king beds and walk-in closets, and one bedroom with a king bed and its own outdoor terrace. Two more bedrooms have two twin beds each.
A stay at Casa Biondi wouldn’t be complete without a stroll around Castiglion del Bosco’s vineyards and woods, plus a round at its golf course. After you’ve explored the estate, it’s only 1 mile to the nearest restaurants, and just over a mile to the town of Il Borgo. The town of Montalcino is about 7 miles away, and there’s a hospital about 28 miles away. If you have a plane to catch, the Florence airport is about 75 miles away and the Pisa airport is about 99 miles away.

Castiglion del Bosco is an age-old Tuscan estate. Its vineyards, fields, woods, farmhouse villas and ancient church bear witness to the care and attention of generations of farmers, landowners, artists and architects.
The estate lies within the confines of the Val d'Orcia, an undulating landscape known for its enchanting beauty and seductive juxtaposition of colors and textures. Deep green in spring and golden in fall, this gentle land is also rich in art and culture. Carefully preserved ancient sites, dating back to the Etruscan era, blend in with art from the Medieval and early Renaissance periods. The area is also famous for its agriculture. The vineyards of the Val d'Orcia, including Castiglion del Bosco's own, produce one of the most coveted Italian red wines, Brunello di Montalcino, and its younger sibling, Rosso di Montalcino.
In addition to their deep-rooted appreciation for art, history, food and wine, Tuscans are great sports enthusiasts and Castiglion del Bosco offers ample opportunities to live the Tuscan outdoor life to the full. Though a recent arrival, the 18-hole championship-standard Castiglion del Bosco Golf Club is already being ranked among the finest in Italy by golfing professionals. The extensive wooded hills and valleys on the vast estate provide endless scope for trekking, mountain biking, nature walks and hunting with the resident game warden. Fly fishing, horseback riding and hot-air ballooning are also among the activities offered on site.
From Castiglion del Bosco, all of Tuscany is within easy reach.
