Expand your horizons at Villa Sant’Anna. The panoramic views from this restored farmhouse encompass the best of Tuscany’s Val d’Orcia region, from rolling hills and vineyards to a golf course, and five bedrooms provide plenty of space for the whole family or large groups of friends. A location on the Castiglion del Bosco estate means there are walking trails, golf and more at your doorstep.
The villa combines the amenities of a resort with the privacy of a home. Outdoor spaces feature a heated pool, pool house with living room and kitchenette, a private tennis court, dining and lounge areas and even a pizza oven. Start each day with a delivery of a pastry basket and end by choosing a video or board game or sipping a cocktail from the mini-bar. Stay comfortable and connected thanks to the property’s air conditioning and Wi-Fi access.
Inside Villa Sant’Anna’s rustic stone walls, you’ll find all the hallmarks of Tuscan country design, from beamed ceilings and terracotta floors to a large fireplace in the living room. Furnishings are comfortable and casual, with plenty of sofas, armchairs and even an upholstered coffee table inviting you to relax. Large French doors flood the dining room with light, and plaid upholstery on the dining chairs is a playful touch. In the fully equipped modern kitchen, deep red millwork is paired with a stunning stone tile backsplash.
Each of the five bedrooms at Villa Sant’Anna has an en-suite bathroom and flat-screen TV. There are three bedrooms with king beds, one of which also has a walk-in closet and opens to a terrace. The fourth bedroom has two twin beds, and the fifth bedroom, located on the ground floor, has one twin bed.
The villa’s location on the Castiglion del Bosco estate means there’s plenty to explore nearby, from vineyards and woods to a golf course and ancient ruins. If you’re in the mood to dine out, there are restaurants just 1 mile away, and the town of Montalcino is only 7 miles away. You’ll find a hospital 28 miles away, too. The Florence airport is a 75-mile drive away, the Pisa airport is a 99-mile drive and the Rome airport is 143 miles away.

Castiglion del Bosco is an age-old Tuscan estate. Its vineyards, fields, woods, farmhouse villas and ancient church bear witness to the care and attention of generations of farmers, landowners, artists and architects.
The estate lies within the confines of the Val d'Orcia, an undulating landscape known for its enchanting beauty and seductive juxtaposition of colors and textures. Deep green in spring and golden in fall, this gentle land is also rich in art and culture. Carefully preserved ancient sites, dating back to the Etruscan era, blend in with art from the Medieval and early Renaissance periods. The area is also famous for its agriculture. The vineyards of the Val d'Orcia, including Castiglion del Bosco's own, produce one of the most coveted Italian red wines, Brunello di Montalcino, and its younger sibling, Rosso di Montalcino.
In addition to their deep-rooted appreciation for art, history, food and wine, Tuscans are great sports enthusiasts and Castiglion del Bosco offers ample opportunities to appreciate outdoor life to the full. Though a recent arrival, the 18-hole championship-standard Castiglion del Bosco Golf Club is already being ranked among the finest in Italy by golfing professionals. The extensive wooded hills and valleys on the vast estate provide endless scope for trekking, mountain biking, nature walks and hunting with the resident game warden. Fly fishing, horseback riding and hot-air ballooning are also among the activities offered on site.
From Castiglion del Bosco, all of Tuscany is within easy reach.
