If your dream of a Tuscan vacation includes views of rolling green hills, rustic stone architecture and dining on local produce every day, villa Penelope is a dream come true. The renovated six-bedroom stone farmhouse, set on a hilltop just outside Montepulciano, has gorgeous, unspoiled views, historic charm and even a garden where you can pick your own fruit and vegetables.
Take advantage of the views from Penelope on one of the outdoor sofas on the terrace just outside the house or on the lawn by the pool. The villa is child-friendly, but guests of all ages will appreciate the piano, satellite TV, computer and Wi-Fi access.
The villas living and dining areas are lined with huge arched windows, making the indoor spaces feel like a loggia. In one sitting area, stone walls and beamed ceilings offer traditional charm; in another, a luxurious tufted leather sofa placed in front of the window is an irresistible spot. A sitting area with a fireplace and green damask sofas is a cozier spot to read or nap. The light-filled dining room features carved chairs and a statement chandelier, and the fully equipped modern kitchen is bright white and pale blue.
The six bedrooms at villa Penelope can accommodate up to ten guests. There are four bedrooms with double beds and en-suite bathrooms; one of them has external access, and one has direct access to the garden. Another bedroom has a single bed and en-suite bathroom, and can fit a second single bed upon request. The sixth bedroom has a French bed and a bathroom.
Wine lovers are in luck, as its less than a quarter of a mile to a wine cellar that offers tastings. Its a 25-minute walk to shops, dining, a grocery store and a tennis court in the town of Montepulciano, and a 20-minute drive to the golf course. Do some sightseeing in Pienza, 8 miles away, or Valdichiana, 11 miles away, plan a trip from the Chiusi train station, 15 miles away or try horseback riding, just less than 16 miles away. The nearest cities are Perugia, 42 miles away, and Siena, 43 miles away.

Penelope is a jewel set in another jewel. The kind of statement that you cannot help but find amazing. Imagine staying in a luxury, stone-built former farmhouse that is within walking distance of one of the prettiest and most representative of Tuscan towns: Montepulciano.
Sought out by wine lovers, Montepulciano is famous for its excellent Nobile di Montepulciano which is produced in a number of vineyards in the area around the old town. Penelope itself is part of an estate of approx. 35 hectares, 22 of which are planted with vines. You can visit the marvellous wine cellars in contemporary architectural style and sample the wines, as well as visit the Gallery devoted to contemporary art. The wine cellar is 300 metres away and open for you to visit. A combination of architecture, art and good wine is what one would expect from a holiday in Italy.
