Wonderfully helpful owners gave us all the information we needed before we arrived so that we only brought with us exactly what we needed and arrived at the house without a single missed turning.
We were met, despite our late evening arrival, by Gini, our helpful host in Costa Rica, who organised everything on site. The house was perfect; quiet, with wide views over the hills and wild vegetation, but abundant flowers surrounding the wide terrace and a tended, chemical-free pool. Jaime, who looks after the garden and the pool, even brought us fresh cuadrido (short, fat bananas) to eat as they ripened in the garden. In the house we had every amenity, big fans as well as air-conditioning, big fridge, all possible cooking facilities, jacuzzi, bath, beach and pool towels, maid service whenever we wished (organised by Gini to suit us), sun loungers, shady veranda, books and even jigsaw puzzles to keep us entertained!
The house is in a delightfully quiet location, but only a few minutes drive from Montezuma in one direction (where there are beaches, shops and plenty of dining out opportunities for day and night life) and Cobano in the other direction (shopping, bank and food market supplies of all kinds) Howler monkeys, agoutis, coatis and capuchin monkeys drop by to visit and a vast array of birds constantly flit around the house. Nearby there is a choice of places to visit from rivers to waterfalls, wide pacific beaches and wild islands, nature reserves and surfing breakers.
We loved the quietness and the chance to truly relax, and returned completely revitalised. We hired a small jeep for our stay which coped with the rougher roads very well, and gave us a chance to explore. What did we like best? Hard to say - The stars? The wildlife? The luxurious calm? A real Home from home?

All 6 of us had an amazing time at Brisas del Pacifico. We wished we could have stayed longer, and will definitely rent this house again. The owners and property manager answered every question we had ahead of time and were very helpful in planning our stay.
Gini the property manager met us on arrival and showed us around the house, as well she gave us her cell phone and told her to call for anything at all, even translating services if we needed it!
The entrance is in to the kitchen and living room with the master bedroom on the left. The other 2 bedrooms each have a private entrance with a sliding glass door out to the patio. This was laid out perfectly for our group of 3 couples, with lots of privacy for each room!
We spent almost all our time on the beautiful patio or in the pool, definitely our favorite part of the villa.
The house is located approx five minutes to two different towns. Montezuma is located on a beach and is a nice town with lots of tourists. Most people spoke English, and were very polite. We had dinner a few times in Montezuma, but once we found Puggos Restaurant we kept going there for amazing food and a full sushi bar. We drove to other nearby towns as well.
The house was decorated nicely and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. Each room had an ensuite, although one was located just outside the room.
The scenery was amazing and the wildlife incredible. Zipling is an absolute must-do, along with jumping in the waterfalls.
The house took a long time to get to but the drive and ferry are absolutely worth it! Renting a car is important, as you could walk in to Montezuma, but the hill down is very steep, curvy and long, and the walk back up would be hard.
We felt perfectly safe in the house and in the area, although they did have Heime (the maintenance man and extra security) living next door.
This was an amazing vacation and we will absolutely go back to this villa and this area.

Walking through the sliding doors takes your breath away. Statuesque trees rise out of the ravine framing in the hilly, tropical landscape. Armonia... is truly harmony. It's a short walk off the main road into Montezuma but a world away. Our private nature preserve was frequented by parrots, toucans, monkeys, pizotes and more. Bring your binoculars!
Our first stay was in January for a week. We hated to leave our paradise! Three months later we returned for a month! Our daily adventures were many but we were always so glad to come "home"!
The house is designed with many environmental features and all the comforts. The bedrooms are private, all opening out to the pool deck. The infinity pool is a jewel in the backyard! Lorn has created the perfect balance of shade and sun... outdoor living at it's best! We found ourselves frequenting the Farmer's Markets and cooking in a lot. Our poolside dining room was hard to beat.
We enjoyed walking to lunch at the nearby Nature Lodge. Montezuma has great restaurants and beautiful beaches! It's best if you have your own transportation but you could call a taxi or walk to catch a bus.
Lorn and Jaime were always available to help! We can't wait to return!!!
