Stylish house with garden & parking (near OLD MTL)
--- LOCATION ---
Located just 10 minutes from downtown and Old Montreal, near the Lachine Canal and the trendy Atwater Market. You will enjoy easy access with the metro, bus or bike to the famous FESTIVALS and appreciate coming back to a quiet and cosy HOME.
--- THE HOUSE ---
With it's large parking space and it's HUGE backyard surrounded by mature trees, this is a real OASIS so close to all the action Montreal has to offer!
Our home is on the ground floor of a century old triplex built in 1870, tastefully renovated while maintaining its unique character: brick walls, original hardwood floors , etc.
We tried to mix OLD and NEW and we love natural materials (hardwood, brick, slate). Here you will find : a big and modern kitchen, trendy design, high ceilings and plenty of natural light.
HD cable TV, DVD and hi-speed wireless internet are all included.
This house is IDEAL for 4 guests but can accommodate up to 6 guests (especially if it's a family):
- one spacious closed bedroom with a King-size bed and a "walk-in" for clothes storage
- one sofa bed in the living-room for 2 guests
- 2 very comfortable real mattresses (to be put on the ground in the living room) for 2 extra guests.
The house is ideal for a family (we lend you toys etc).
--- THE AREA ---
Located in a quiet street in Pointe-St-Charles, a residential neighbourhood bordered by Old Montreal, the Lachine Canal and downtown. Close to all services (supermarket, pharmacy) and a children's playground. It's a very safe, family friendly neighborhood and you will sleep soundly as there is no traffic on the street at night.
--- TRANSPORT ---
METRO: It's a 12 minutes walk to the Charlevoix metro station (green line). From there, on the same metro line, it's only 6 stops to "Place des Arts" station (FESTIVALS) and 7 stops to "St-Laurent" station (nightlife, bars, clubs, restaurants).
BUS: It is very easy to access down-town by bus: our house is one corner away from a bus stop that takes you down-town in only 10 minutes (line 61 on Wellington street)!
BIKE & ROLLERBLADE: enjoy the 10 minute ride on the great bike path along the "canal" that brings you to the old montreal, or the beautifull bike and rollerblade path (over 100km long!) along the St-Laurent river that is just 5 minutes bike away from Pointe-Saint-Charles.

A group of friends and I stayed here to attend Osheaga. Joanna and Frederique were fantastic at accommodating our group as we stayed here and at Le Boston. The apartments were gorgeous, well kept, well equipped with everything we needed and Joanna/Frederique were available to help us out with any questions/concerns. The location is about 6km from Jean-Drapeau so we decided to rent bixis to get to the festival which was quick, easy and avoided teh metro crowds. Sky terrace was fantastic but a little tricky to get up to. Will definitely consider any of their properties again for future stays!

Our dragon boat team (with around 20 people) rented this house in addition to 3 units (located next door and above) when we travelled to Montreal for a dragon boat race during July 2013. Overall, we had a great stay.
Frederique and Joanna are very friendly and helpful. They were very responsive to our emails and questions, often answering within the hour. They tried to accommodate our requests to the best of their ability. I've dealt with many owners and property managers and my experience with Freddie and Joanna was one of the best. They were honest, friendly, professional and transparent.
The unit was very nicely decorated. The large backyard with a barbeque was a bonus. It was nice to sit outside in the evening and just relax and chat with the others. All the kitchens were fully furnished with all utensils and tools you would need to cook a gourmet meal. Coming with a large group, it was definitely a plus to have large pots in the kitchen!
Check-in and out was easy and simple since each apartment was outfitted with its own lock box. The wifi worked well and we had no problems at all.
Location wise, these apartments are not located in the downtown, but it was close enough to get to downtown in 10 - 15 minutes. It is nearby to many supermarkets/stores including a Maxi, IGa , Super C and Pharmaprix. The good thing about not staying in the downtown is parking. Parking on the residential streets was free, plentiful and easily found. If we were downtown, we would have paid $20-$30 per car per night and we came with 7 cars.
I would recommend this unit and the others to anyone looking for an alternative to hotels.
Thank you so much for this great review, full of usufull and acurate info! you are ALWAYS welcom back Lisa!

Great place for extended stay, quite neighborhood feeling, a park at end of street. But a must drive or take the bus for good food, entertainment, shops...we only stayed two days and for us it was enjoyable but didn't feel like we were able to explore some great areas of Montreal, easily. I may stay here again if I had longer. Nice to have a backyard and roof.
Best for extended stay...

My family and I stayed here for 10 days this past July while we were in town for my brother's wedding and some relaxation. The owner, Joanna, really helped to make our stay stress free and enjoyable. She has a Welcome Book that introduces you to the place. It includes all the things you need to know and more: where things are in the place, parking restrictions, how to turn on the cable tv, local food shopping choices, where to find sushi!, and even a pretty long section on what Montreal attractions would be good for visiting with kids.
The place was exactly what we were looking for for... a convenient local action close to downtown and touristy areas. The place was clean and comfortable and included nice things like a washer and dryer, a private parking space, a huge tub and a back yard for the kids to play in. We cooked in the kitchen at least once a day and it is already stocked with virtually everything you might need to cook including pots, wine glasses and plates.
All in all, it was a great value, especially compared to hotels for a family of 5. We would gladly stay in this or any of Joanna's other places again. She was very responsive, answered all questions we had and even the ones we didn't know to ask. Any one else should feel free to rent from her with confidence that she will do everything she can to make your stay enjoyable.

This house is located in a quiet and safe street. Bus number 61 is a few steps from the house for going to city center in 10 minutes. super markets and metro station are in near distance.
The most brilliant point about this house is simple but modern decoration and its cleanness. The owner, Joanna is a very nice lady who helped us kindly. We would really recommend this house to our friends.
