The tastefully restored farmhouse is part of a 17th century Breton longere with a cottage attached,providing the owners home and accommodation for our very welcome guests. The cottage retains many of the original features, whilst benefiting from modern fitments. You can listen to the bird's sing here as there is hardly any passing traffic.
Ground floor :- A beamed lounge with French and British satellite TV & radio channels. A compact well equipped kitchen with gas cooker, microwave ,fridge-freezer and washing machine. There is a separate beamed dining room with table and seating for 6. Also a ground floor shower room with wash basin, wc, and wide entrance pivot door shower cubicle.
First floor;- Three bedrooms ( 2 doubles and a twin Bedroom room.)
Fully carpeted,wardrobes and drawers. A second shower room, with wash basin, shower & wc.
The beautiful landscaped gardens of 2 acres are for our guests to enjoy. South facing garden with BBQ and furniture to relax in. Situated only 5 mins from the River Blavet at St.Nicolas Des Eaux, a charming riverside village with creperies, bars & restaurants,and where you can collect fresh bread ,croissants and speciality preserves from the epicerie/bistro.
We are also unique in this area to provide facilities for Archery as a holiday activity, providing tuition with all equipment if required at a small charge.There is also a private woodland across the country lane to explore for more experienced archers.
It is a quiet area for those seeking more serene activities such as bird-watching, walking or cycling along the tow path. Bikes and kayaks can be hired at St. Nicolas to explore the Blavet valley.Within easy cycling/walking distance you will find the ancient Chapel of St Gildas, built into the rocks. It is also one of the many chapels which displays a modern art exhibit during the summer season of "Art in the Chapels" .The golf course is only 4kms.An equestian centre within 5mins walk,Go-Karting at Plumeliau -8kms. Supermarkets ,shops, medical facilities and a Swimming pool at Baud.The historic medieval and interesting town of Pontivy is 12kms where you will find a good selection of supermarkets and quality shops. Here you will find the chateau,cobbled streets and timber clad buildings,numerous good restaurants, open air & indoor swimming pool, ten-pin bowling, cinemas .
