What fantastic views is the first comment we usually hear from our guest’s and our reply is yes from all windows. Mordue’s Cottage………
Is one of two semi-detached cottages in the middle of our working farm, originally farm workers cottages the views from the front look over to Thrunton Woods and Simon side Hills and the north looks over the Cheviot Hills. It has a well equipped galley kitchen including washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and electric cooking. The downstairs bathroom has over bath electric shower. The large spacious lounge/dinning room leads to the ground floor single bedroom. The first floor has a double bed which looks north and the twin room faces south. The cottage is all double glazed and gas central heating / hot water, gas fire in lounge.
Externally the shared rear enclosed garden is half gravelled and half grass with parking for 2 cars, patio set and the use of a gas barbecue. The half walled garden to the front has fabulous views to the south.
Linen and fuel included in the rent and beds are made up for your arrival.

Watch Mirk our over enthusiastic young collie learn the tricks of the trade on how to round the sheep up (not always getting it right). See the combine cut the crops and the bailer bale the hay and straw. Feed the free range hens. Our Jack Russell loves to go for walks; Tigger likes a game of football.

Tranquility, that's the reason we have returned again and again. That and the welcome that we receive from Helen and Leslie. The cottage is in a wonderfully quiet location with amazing views and is very comfortable. Simonside is framed in the lounge window which overlooks the delightful cottage garden. It is well located for visiting the coast or the hills. We are walkers and have yet to exhaust the range of routes in the Cheviots and the coastal path. Looking forward to our next stay!
