This property looked beautiful on the internet, and was beautiful in real life. It is situated in a quiet valley to the East of Yakima. It was a great spot for the family and grandkids. Very "kid friendly", including little touches like inflatable pool [small abt 6', for toddler, not filled, but available], small kid picnic table, there was even a tablet reader loaded with kid books and games!
Great for the adults, of course, there was a nice hot tub. It broke the day of our visit, and the owner of the property drove hours from Vancouver, Wa to fix it! Many properties would just tell us that it was broken, and a repair order was called in, it's happened many times. We really enjoyed it when we brought the west-side rain with us. My son-in-law was surprised to see the various musical instruments available for use. The full kitchen was very well laid out and supplied. This was a first, they had some food in the fridge, and said we could use it, if we needed to! I hate going to places where you have to clean out the fridge 100%, including condiments that you've had to buy for the week you are in a home. Huge big screen TV, satellite, wifi, and a massive DVD, blu-ray and 3D collection!
There was a large wrap-around deck, and it was great in the rain, we could let the kids play, and watch the hummingbirds during the rain. Two hammocks were frequently in use.
Overall, it was a beautiful home, not quite as "fancy" as a "five-star hotel", but much more of a home, and the owner has taken great efforts to make you feel at home. I'll be back, if I need a big home for a family get-together.

My family and I had a great stay at the Hummingbird Hill Resort. It was a beautiful location in the woods with lots of flowers and, of course, hummingbirds! We felt very welcome and everything was arranged for us so that all we had to do was relax.

The cabin was very beautiful and it seemed like it had everything you could need. The music room was very fun, and their were so many movies we couldn't seem to make up our minds, but most of all the views and surrounding grounds were the best. Was nice to get up in the morning and sit on the deck and just watch the hummingbirds as they fed. We can't wait to go back. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice relaxing and peaceful stay with family or friends or even just a couple. Was one of my favorite getaways. The owner was very nice and seemed to offer anything you needed, truly felt like a home away from home.

This place is everything the owner said it was and more. Hot tub, movies, 3D glasses and a kitchen just like home stalked with cooking supplies. As a family we have decided it would be a place we would use again. Thank you Jim for the special details you have added... like the hummingbirds, to make a pleasing stay!
