The house was extremely clean, organized and well stocked in the kitchen.
Many extras were included; such as beach chairs. The pool was clean and comfortable and a family friendly option. Highly recommend this rental. The beds were generally not very comfortable, most being extremely firm. The steps to beach were a bit tricky with bushes on one side and some uneven steps on opposite side.

The house was great. Later in the week we spoke to the owners and they asked if we got in early because they let it go at noon. I informed that I called your office at 12 and you told me not to come till 3:30 in very hasty manner. I was highly upset by this as we had 4 children under the age of 4 and it would eased alot discomfort. I would love to stay here next year but hesitate due to the unavailable early check in thru your office.

Have been to the Outer Banks 17 times. This is the nicest, Cleanest place We have stayed. Plus the beach was extar wide. So wide it seemed to take forever to get to the ocean. We reserved for next year.
The Cake and flowers were also a nice touch.

We had a great time, the board walk to the beach was good, lots of steps but you could leave your stuff at the bottom or on the landing. The kids loved the pool. It was great for after the beach or on a hot day in the evening, (3-5 feet deep). Don't look for the pool light switch, it has been disconected, too many misquitos get attracted to it. The only thing we talked about was that the bedroom on the bottom floor that has the queen bed. It was just big enough for the bed, we think it was a hot tub room. There was one TV in the family room with a PS2, and a TV with VCR in the bunkbed room. There were some videos for the family. There were no TVs in the other bedrooms. The PS2 was used to play the Dvds. The decks were great. The kitchen is not real big, but there are plenty of seats for everyone to eat. It is located between the 2 piers. The house had a beach chairs for your use and a big picnic table and porch swing under the house. Loved that the beds were made, there were fresh flowers, and the owner gives you a chocolate cake!

The 6 bedroom house was wonderful and had all the amenities you could require. The house also had a pool which worked out extremely well since the water temperature was very cold ( about 60 degrees). The only bad experience was the beach renovation and all the dredging equipment, bulldozers and large pipelines existing for several hundred feet. We were not informed about this until four months after we had booked this house and were told that the real estate agencies were not told by the Chamber of Commerce until april of 2011. We were fortunate that the dredging barges in front of our house were broken down while we were there so there was very little interruptions getting to the beach. Unfortunately up the beach a little the access to the beach was shut off and the people had to walk a few hundred yards to get to the beach.
We would highly recommend getting a pool in addition to the beach house.
The Cape Hatteras area is fairly uninhabited but does have a lighthouse which is worthwhile visiting but climbing it isn't recommended for people with heart conditions or failing health.
An extremely interesting spot to visit is the Wright Museum which has a lot of information regarding the Wright brothers first flight.

There was a large group of us staying in this house (my husband and I, both sets of in-laws including siblings and their families, and close friends) The house provided all we truely needed. The pool was invaluable since we had small children with us and the beach can be too much for them. South Nags Head was the perfect locaton for our style: Away from traffic, but a close drive to stores and sight-seeing; wide-sidewalk and little traffic made running and cycling safe; set away from public beach access made the beach quiet and not crowed. Looking into this property for next year.

Very good overall experience. It's been awhile since my wife and I were able to enjoy a family vacation. Having been to OBX before, we knew what to expect about the area. Our specfic rented house was terrific and perfectly fit the bill for what we were looking for. No complaints.

The view was fantastic, having the pool was wonderful and the house was loveyly. The only problem was that we were told by Kitty Hawk Rentals in a phone call( specificly to check about towels being available) that the towels
would be supplied. When we got there (all 14 of us) without towels, of course, we were told by Kitty Hawk Rentals that there were no towels provided and that "no one there would have told us that they were". From now on, if we deal with that rental agent, we'll get the name of the person we spoke with. Fyi, it cost us $94 to rent towels and were told that we would not be reimbursed by them even though someone there made the error. So, if your rental agreement says under things to bring - "towels: Kitchen and beach" know that even though it clearly doesn't say "bath",be sure to bring them regardless of what the people at Kitty Hawk tell you. The owners were wonderful people and came midweek to clean the pool.
