multi-family trip. Overall house was clean. Sliding doors don't slide- ending up using a side door to car port to access the pool area. lowest floor bedroom needs a dresser. mattresses overall could use replacement- the pyramid bed especially- Ouch! lots of stairs, watch the "sunscreen" with the pool, our pool person said she could close ours for over use of sunscreen- her recommendation was sun shirts. ?? we called to have a child proof lock put on the pool area- was fixed next morning- however two gates to the pool, only one got updated lock. plenty of glasses, plates, silverware. could use a few more larger Coffee mugs. temperature was challenging to regulate, lowest level freezing, mid-level cold, upper level warm. freezer never seemed to stay within safe range. no real restaurant options within walking distance for large groups. take advantage of the YMCA parent night out option- was a wonderful child-free evening. this house offers on Wednesday nights. Great central location, short drives to lots of attractions. Overall nice, clean, safe rentalt

My family recently stayed in the Mangos beach house for a week. We really enjoyed our stay and rarely got in our cars. The pool, the playground, the pool table and beach across the street made our vacation complete! The house was clean and well equipped. The early check in option worked wonders for us with small children. The house had games, books and movies for all to enjoy. We could walk to the pier, the stores and for great ice cream. Thanks so much!

The house was ok. Have stayed in better homes. Upon arrival the kitchen sink was still dirty. The complaints I have are as follows: Not enough lounge chairs by the pool, only 2, with 8 ppl someone was always fighting for them. The rest of the outdoor furniture was falling apart. On the front deck there is absolutely no shade, which was disappointing when you want to sit and relax out of the sun. Cant really go out there until later in the day when the full sun is in the back of the house. There is also no area in the back to relax in the shade either. There is also some nails sticking up on the front deck that we hit with our feet on several occasions.

This place was very run-down. The microwave was repaired with duct tape. The Jacuzzi leaks therefore it was jury-rigged in such a way to drain water almost onto the fixed charcoal grill!!! The decks were in desperate need of repair and we had much angst about barefoot children and rusty nails sticking out of the wood decking! The bed covers are that yucky polyester that hails from the 70's. Pillows in living area were so filthy, we couldn't use them. When we had about 20 people on the third-floor deck it swayed so much that I was afraid it was going to collapse. We came home with such horrible bug bites. I'll bet the owner has never stayed in this place, but then again I imagine other rentals are in a similar state of repair. On the upside, there were plenty of dishes, glassware and silverware. Our family had a week-long re-union and being with them was the best part of the trip. Read more

As with all rentals...there were a few things broke or worn out but the the house was great...the pool, hot tub, beds, baths and rec room were all great. A few things need to be fixed but nothing that would ruin a vacation. The beach access is right across the street!!
"Nice house but very disappointed in the missing/damaged items."

Overall the house was nice, but we ended up being very disappointed in many things during our stay. We specifically booked this house because it was close to the ocean and had the amenities we wanted. The location couldn't have been better. It took us only about 3 minutes to walk to the beach- across the street and a short way down to beach access, and we had a partial view of the water. We were also pleased with the pool and hottub, pool table, foosball table, poker table. There were however some very important things we were counting on since they were pictured/listed on the website that were missing: gas grill, 2 of the kitchen chairs (we had 14 people and 14 chairs were pictured, but only 12 chairs upon arrival), TV in rec room, mixer. Also several things broken: one of the 12 kitchen chairs, one pool chair, blender. The kitchen pans were so old and used that everything stuck to them. There was no griddle. It proved very difficult to prepare food with above mentioned complaints. Also, it was quite a hassle to get a gas grill (as pictured on the website) and we didn't have one until the 3rd day of our stay. The house was pretty modern and very nice overall, but I would not recommend staying there usless the details are improved, as the inconvenience of it all was not worth it.

The Realty was a breeze to check in. The house and the location were prefect. Beach access right across the road and a lot of places within walking distance were conveinant. The only recommendations I would make would be to update the pots and pans in the kitchen.

We arrived a little early and actually got in sooner than expected. There were a few issues that needed attention, so I notified the office and they sent someone over who took care of most issues. A couple days later the lower level a/c went out and it was repaired quickly.
The house was clean and comfortable with easy beach access and ample parking for four vehicles.
Walking distance to the pier and a walk-up ice cream shop made evening exercise a good excuse. We all loved the added pleasure of the private pool and hot tub. Us older "kids" hardly had time for a game of pool. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare any meal and I didn't hear any complaints on bedding. The only way it could have been better is being cheaper, free, or permanent. Thanks

We enjoyed being at the beach, but that house was in need of a lot of maintenance and was very dirty. Upholstered furniture dirty, bedspreads disgustingly dirty. Kitchen not very well equipped and dishes dirty. Hot tub leaking, outside furniture very weathered and dirty. Lots of spiders on the lower level. Dining room windows need shades as they are on the west and sitting there for dinner is miserable. We had to pin a sheet up to keep the sun out. We'd come back to Nags Head and we'd use Kitty Hawk Rentals again but would not want to stay in a property owned by whoever owns this one. Read more

"great location . . . house needs lots of work"

nearly accross the street from beach access. pool is great for when beach conditions are not. house needs painted and repaired. water marks, outlets that do not work, broken lamp, lightbulbs burned out. sliding doors take a great effort to move. old bedspreads, furniture worn. if easy access to beach is top priority, then this is the house for you. it is not your home away from home . . . prepare for that!

The location of this house is great. It's a very short walk to the beach access (it looks longer on the google map street view). The house accommodated three couples and two kids nicely. The beds were actually very comfortable.
My only complaints:
- The hot tub has a leak which we think made the lower level bedroom smell musty.
- Bring your own non-stick skillet because the one supplied is pretty scratched up.
- The bedroom on the third floor is very bright in the morning. Luckily, I bring my own bedding so the polyester bed cover made a nice window treatment during our stay so we could sleep in past 6 am.
Other than that, we had a great stay. I cried when we had to go home.

The house itself was comfortable, but it needs work. The sliding glass doors were very hard to push and the one one the second floor going to the back deck, the lock was broken. It needs more chairs for the upper deck and maybe a table. The dining area need a shade because when you are eating you are blinded bt the sun. The master bedroom upstairs need a darker curtain to keep the am sun at bay.
I think the house was overpriced for what you had.
