I'd stayed a month at Smiley in December 2012, and then this second time for a month in December 2014. What better endorsement than from a returnee!
The same features were there this second time, but my experiences in 2014 only added to my favourable estimation of Smiley. This time a lot went wrong for me, and in each instance RoopChand and Risal were more helpful than ever. My suitcase was damaged in flight to Delhi. I figured it was hopelessly ruined. RoopChand took it off to a cobbler who patched and bolstered it, expertly restoring it. My wallet was lost or stolen. RoopChand loaned me cash and helped my through the often tedious process of getting a replacement bank card. He even loaned me a thief-proof bag to use in the interim. I needed a tailor. Risal took me to a good one and arranged for my fabric to be stitched. I took daily Hindi classes. Both Risal and RoopChand patiently let me stumble through conversations to give me practice. Sometimes I thought Smiley amounted to more "rescue mission" than BnB.
The food was wonderful as before. My room was comfortable as before. For what more could I ask! This is a good place for the hapless traveler to land.
“Smiley's is the best place we have ever stayed in or outside the”

They were always there for us, whatever our need - from taking us to an optometrist to fix broken eyeglasses to helping getting our cell phone to work in India. They gave us wise and loving advice and great directions. Breakfast here is fantastic! The place is immaculate and comfortable. And we so enjoyed our great and fun conversations. Always the comfort of available tea and coffee in our room.
You can walk to a multi-complex shopping center where we bought sweets and takeout food. Just about anything you want - pharmacy, clothes, barbershop and salon, fruit, souvenirs, and more. We also walked to the Metro to ride to various parts of Delhi. Most gracious hosts - We shall return!!

My daughter and I stayed with Roop and Risal for only 2 nights. The house is lovely, the rooms are immaculate and everything is clean. We only had a simple breakfast each morning because we were not very well, but I wish we could have enjoyed Roops cooking a bit more, because she is such a good cook (and a lovely host). Gurgaon itself does not have much to do, but the metro is an easy walking distance and it costs just Rs25 to get to New Delhi central. There are also lots of other locations en-route where you can go sight seeing. You don't need to be based in Delhi to get around and the metro is cleaner, easier, and cheaper than the auto rick-shaws. You can also get a day ticket which allows you to metro hop to lots of places. I would recommend Smiley B&B; to anyone who doesn't mind staying out of central Delhi.
“Most comfortable stay of our previous trips to India.”

I will highly recommend this place for a long or short term stay .We are a senior citizen couple felt safe and secure.Host & hostess went an extra mile to make our stay beautiful and comfortable.I do not have enough words to describe their hospitality, one has to stay here to expierence it.Our extra needs which are not a part of B&B; were taken care by our gracious hosts. We really felt at home and welcomed and were really sad to say goodbye .Looking forward to stay here in future with out any hesitation.

My wife and I stayed at Smiley bed and breakfast. We had an amazing experience. The room was clean and the amenities were outstanding. Roop Chand & Risal (property owners) took great care of us, even inviting us to the kitchen to see indian meals being prepared.
Transportation to and from the International Airport was arranged and we had no trouble getting around Delhi
The location was great too - plenty of historic sites nearby and easy access to shops, restaurants, malls. The host helped us plan our way around, and even made arrangements for us when we made our trip to Dharamsala.

First of all the room was really nice. Immaculately clean with nice decor and everything you'd even need for a comfortable stay in a hot country (AC, fridge, fan). Private bathroom is a huge plus (not something you'd necessarily get at a B&B). Gurgaon is a suburb of Delhi (a really nice and safe one for that matter) so it is a little further away from the old town but we liked it better that way. It's not as crazy as Delhi itself and has some really awesome shopping! Staying there also gave us proximity to the Kutub Minar and some of the beautiful temples; so honestly we didn't feel like we missed much by not staying in Delhi itself.
But more importantly, the hospitality and the warm treatment we got from Roop Chand and Risal were second to none. We were really made to feel like a part of the family! They've spent more than an hour discussing our itinerary, making valuable suggestions and even helped us make the necessary reservations (getting a train ticket in India is a lot harder than you'd think!). Our trip just wouldn't have been the same without them! All in all, couldn't recommend this place strongly enough.
