5 STAR CHELSEAMEATPKG AVAIL-11/19-12-3& 12/30-1/23
Stunning and gorgeous rarely seen newly remodeled, pre-war 1-bedroom apartment is centrally located in the heart of New York City's Chelsea, West Village and Meatpacking neighborhoods. On 14th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues facing the inner courtyard towards 15th Street with a view birds eye view of the Empire State Building from the inner courtyard facing 15th street offering complete quiet tranquility meaning a very quiet apartment rarely seen in this neighborhood. Upon arrival if you are tired from flying simply enjoy a wonderful dinner steps away from the apartment, I love Crispo across the street or maybe Capellia a cuban favorite steps away.
The apartments location offers easy access to NYC's subway system, major railways and the water taxi, and is within comfortable walking distance to all of the city's most sought after neighborhoods like the west village and meatpacking district. the Highline bridge/park and the new amazing happenings on 9th and 10th avenues make this location a ridiculous choice if you can get it. I can't name names but hotels in the meatpacking district a block away or 4 minute walk are twice the price but highly recommend them for shorter stays. For longer stays consider a self catered home like this one just steps away from the action for half the price and 3 times the square footage

We stayed for three weeks in Lawrence's beautiful apartment. It felt like home. The facilities are excellent the bed was a dream, so comfortable. A spacious living room and gorgeous terrace with a open view. Yes we did leave the apartment. The subway and bus were minutes away. Walking distance to the Highline, Chelsea Market, Grenwich Village, Soho and the Fabulous Chelsea Hotel. Crispo, restaurant just across the road has delicious meals.
The best discovery was finding Cafe Birch just around the corner on 7th Avenue. Being from Melbourne we found this to be the best coffee in New York.
Thank you Lawrence for sharing your home with us.
“Location, location, location. Very comfortable. Recommended!”

After many visits to Manhattan and always staying in Midtown, we decided to stay in the Village to be close to all the fabulous restaurants we tend to frequent. Located on West 14th, Lawrences's apartment is perfectly situated very close to several subway lines and easy walking distance to all that Chelsea and the Village offer.
The apartment is nicely furnished with a very comfortable king bed, two large TVs, tiny but fully-equipped kitchen, sofa bed, dining table, and rear deck. As the apartment does not face the street, it is generally very quiet although being Manhattan you will hear sirens from time to time. We slept well every night.
Unless you feel the overwhelming need to be in a hotel, this is the way to stay in NYC. You will be very comfortable here.

This was our second stay at Lawrence's apartment, and we knew we wouldn't be disappointed. The apartment is in a great location, close to shops and restaurants and two main subway stops, but is also quiet and away from the tourist hubs. It is spacious for Manhattan standards and can accommodate a couple or two singles (with the sofa bed) comfortably. It is a more authentic NYC experience than a hotel, and having the kitchen and lounge gives you the option of staying in occasionally. Some may be put off by the three flights of stairs, but for us it was well worth it for the space and location. We would definitely stay again.

It's embarrassing that it actually took us this long to write a review for Lawrence's place! The location is absolutely superb, the apartment is gorgeous, very nice and tidy, amazing decor and bright and all the appliances were great, we loved the apple tv in the bedroom and being able to watch loads of stuff.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in New York and Lawrence's place couldn't have been a better choice, we're grateful he took us as guests in his home. We will definitely be back.

We've stayed at Lawrence's simply fabulous NYC pad twice now, and it has become as much a part of our holidays as New York has. The location is just what we needed; close enough to experience so much of the city, but quiet enough to feel like it's home. The bed (this is super important) is comfortable and generous. The furnishings are stylish (yep, also super important for us), and the kitchen is great so we can cook when we want to as well. It's light and bright, with room for all our shopping. We're definitely coming back.

My experience of this apartment is consistent with other guests' reviews--in addition to the wonderful quiet and comfort, I can add that the kitchen is well equipped with cookware and dishes and silverware, and access to seasonings was very much appreciated. One beautiful evening we had a lovely cooked-in dinner with hors-d'oeuvres on the balcony. There is plenty of hot water and the bathroom includes a nice shower head and a shallow tub to soak tired feet in after a day of walking the city. We loved the area for all the reasons mentioned in other reviews. (The apartment is on the 3rd floor, so stair climbing is required for those to whom that may be a concern.) My only regret is that my train into NYC was late and I did not get to meet Lawrence when my husband checked in. Thanks so much Lawrence for a wonderful stay.

My wife and I stayed at this stunning apartment for a week in april 2012, it is located in the ideal place to explore the best of New York. It is wonderfully situated and elegantly decorated with the nicest owner - he is a lovely man who we intend to stay in touch with. I would not hesitate to recommend this to my friends and family - Stunning. So pleased we found it!

I stayed in this gorgeous apartment for a week and can't recommend it highly enough. In fact, I've sent many friends to stay on the basis of the great experience had. First, the location is superb, on W 14 Street, with the subway on the corner, food stores and supermarkets nearby, and the vibrant Meatpacking District, Chelsea Markets and Greenwich Village on your doorstep. The furnishings and fittings are top quality (a huge king bed!) and you can enjoy a very nice NYC view from the balcony while you have a drink at the end of a hard day sight seeing. There's even a glimpse of the Empire State Building! Lawrence, the owner, is trustworthy and very helpful and I can't wait to come back one day. Don't stay in a hotel - Stay here!

My wife and I have returned three times to stay at Lawrence's apartment, and since we are not related, nor do we get a special deal, you can safely assume we have been very satisfied.
It's beautifully decorated and has all the features we need for our 10-day stays. The apartment faces the back of the building into a courtyard garden, and as a result is very quiet. For NYC it's amazingly quiet. There is a generous terrace where we sit outside and relax with a glass of wine late in the day.
Although we like to go out at night when we are in NY, we will on occasion stay in, and the living room / dining area is comfortable yet sophisticated. There is a state of the art video and sound system. The bed is huge and especially comfortable. The bathroom is clean and trendy with lots of mirrors and tile and big fluffy towels.
The location on 14th Street can't be beat. This is the southern border of Chelsea. Within a few minute walk we were in the West Village or Meatpacking District. Several subway and bus lines converge here, so we didn't have to walk far to get anywhere in the city, from Broadway to Brooklyn.
There are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance, and the entire city was easily accessible with public transit. When we wanted a night off, but still didn't want to cook, the Westside Market was a block away, with an incredible selection of take-out food. A Zagat Rated Cuban restaurant is only a few doors down and and offers great food while not requiring a reservation.
Lawrence is a wonderful host, with recommendations on places to see, places to have fun, and places to eat. As he says, if you have a question or concern he's only a phone call and a few minutes away.
And last but certainly not least, he styled my wife's hair and as far as she's concerned that's reason enough to come back again and again.
