Renovated 1 Bedroom Apartment with Internet, in the Historic Vieux Nice
A lovely quiet and bright, newly renovated apartment ( March 2013 ) with AIR COND and INTERNET + WIFI access. You will also enjoy the lovely view of the " Castle Hill " over some of the Old Town's rooftops. The hill is also illuminated at night.
It is only a 3 minutes walk from the Beaches on Promenade des Anglais, and less to the famous Cours Saleya with its Fruit / Vegetable and Flower Market during day time giving place to restaurant terraces at night.
The building is bordering the "New Coulée Verte" ( the green park joining the Theater to the Sea where children will enjoy the wood games and water fountains exhibitions ). A very nice place to walk through anytime of the day.
The apartment is on the third floor ( no lift of course ) in a 330 years old building ( 1685 ) with large stairwell. The building entrance is on a main boulevard bordering the northern side of the Old Town and accessible by Taxi, Bus or Tramway.
As this apartment has no windows on this boulevard. You will live in a quiet area, avoiding the noise of street traffic, tramway or pedestrians ( even at night ).
This lovely apartment is perfect for a couple, a small group of friends or a family of 3 or 4 people. A wonderfull location to savour the "Niçois" art of living. A car is absolutely not necessary.

“Nice, clean newly refurbished apartment in great location!”

First of all, communication and booking the apartment with Patrick was very easy and he always responded quickly. Before the trip he gave us all the information we needed about the apartment and how to get there from the airport etc. He was there to welcome us, showed around the apartment and gave advice and tips for example about restaurants.
The location of the apartment is great! It is easy to access from the airport by bus and within walking distance from the old town, beach, the harbor, railway station etc. Also the tram stop is very close to it and you can rent city bikes nearby. There are great restaurants right next to it/nearby, Carrefour and Monoprix for groceries are very close too and the Cours Saleya Flower Market is a great place to get some fresh vegetables, fruits, bread and many things more in the mornings. The apartment was very quiet and there were no noise coming from the streets as the windows point to the inner court. The only downside is that you have to take quite a few steps to access the apartment, because there is no elevator (in case that is a deal breaker for you).
The apartment itself is nice. It's clean and newly refurbished with a great modern kitchen, that has everything you might need for cooking on holidays. To be able to use the washing machine for the laundry is a great advantage also. There are air conditioners and flat screen TVs in the kitchen and the main room, which worked perfectly.
We really felt like home during this holiday and would definitely recommend this apartment for couples, small families or 3-4 ppl.
I'm pleased you spent good holidays and that my advices and tips were usefull. I'm glad too you feel like home as I tried to do my best in that way when I renovated the apartment.
You left the apartment in very good condition and I would like to thanks you. It was a pleasure to receive Finish renters and you will be always welcome back.

“The Perfect Stay”
Left on 08/06/2013 for a stay in July 2013 | A FlipKey verified reviewerReviewed Aug 6, 2013Stayed Jul 2013
My husband and I stayed at this appartment for 3 nights in July, 2013 along with our three children (ages 15, 12 and 2). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The appartment was perfect for our family. It had absolutely everything we needed (stove, micro, large fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, coffee-maker, food storage containers, cuttlery, dishes, towels, soap, etc.) to make our stay perfect. The appartment has been recently renovated and the care and detail that the owner put into the renovations was easy to see everywhere. The location of the appartment was perfect as well, being right in Old Nice but right on the border of Old Nice and "new" Nice. It was within walking distance of everything - the beach, the market, grocery stores, the tram, etc. It was very quiet too, considering the location in Old Nice. The owner was extremely sincere and helpful, right down to the small details. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area.
We loved our stay and would definitely rent this appartment again if we are so lucky as to be able to return in the near future!
The only drawback was the 3 story (actually 4 story for fellow North americans) walk up. It was a bit tricky with a stroller and suitcases but easily manageable if you pack light and want a good work out!

We (middle-aged couple) were lucky enough to find this apartment about 6 years ago, and returned every year for four years. The location is perfect. Buses throughout the region (Cannes, Monaco, Grasse, mountain villages) all stop nearby. The tram, useful if you have to go to the train station) is practically at the front door too. Galeries Lafayette? Opera? Modern art Museum? Wonderful Public Library? Grocery stores? Beach? All within easy walking distance.
The apartment (before renovation) was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The renovation looks spectacular. I really can't think of anything negative to say. Well, OK, the stairway can be a bit tiring after a big dinner!
