Description from manager

Description

Villa Augusta, Pistoia, Tuscany has a long and rich history,  a tangible splendor that can be felt emanating from its princely living areas and commanding views of the surrounding hills and valleys.

Originally built in the 13th century, this noble home was once one of the twelve sumptuous hunting residences of the Granduke Ferdinando I de Medici, grandson of the famous Lorenzo Il Magnifico (Lorenzo the Magnificent). Built on a hill of olive trees and vineyards, the villa has retained its original architectural beauty and serenity. The entire estate has been carefully restored and improved upon by the present owner, a Prince, whose family bought the property more than two hundred years ago.

All the rooms are decorated with antique furniture and paintings, Venetian glass chandeliers and Persian carpets, while all the bathrooms have been recently renewed. Guests will be able to reside in such a unique and truly special atmosphere while enjoying the enchanting Italian garden, the beautiful park, the numerous bedrooms and the large swimming pool.

Augusta is particularly recommended to Golf and SPA lovers, as it is perfectly located few minutes from both. The whole property guarantees an extreme level of privacy, security and tranquility, while being ideally located to explore nearby Florence, Lucca, Pisa, the Versilia coast of Northern Tuscany, the Chianti wine area and further afield, Cinque Terre and Portofino.
