Perfectly located next to the Carré d'Art (where the grand Nimes Opera House once stood) and Roman "Maison Carré" temple, this is THE place to be in Nimes.

SPECIAL FOR OPERA FANS: Free screenings of world-class productions in our exclusive "Home Opera House" only 15 minutes away by car.

The apartment features a modern, fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom with shower, bath and washbasin as well as a separate WC with another washbasin.

The apartment overlooks a leafy garden, a real rarity in the centre of this historic town.

Equipment includes a flat screen HD television, Yamaha 2.1 soundbar and Blu-Ray player PLUS HDTV including English language and classical music channels. There is an iPod HiFi docking station (compatible with iPhones) plus an Internet radio, meaning you can listen to your favorite local radio station wherever in the world it may be !!! There is also a "business center" complete with PC, high speed broadband and phone with free international calls!.

Getting around

If you don't have a car there are still plenty of opportunities of getting around. There are frequent trains to the coast (Aigues Mortes - the walled medieval town) and the Grau du Roi (fishing port with lots of seafood restaurants). What's more, as these towns are in the same "Département" you can get a return ticket for 2 Euros! You can also get trains to Arles, Avignon and Montpellier Bus services can also take you to the Pont du Gard (Roman Aqueduct) and Uzes, a charming Medieval town with a famous market on Saturdays.

You will be greeted at the apartment and be given recommendations for things to see and do. Restaurant recommendations will also be provided - as well as directions to the nearby Nimes food market - open 365 days a year. One of the best food markets in the whole of France.

Response from the owner We are pleased you enjoyed the spaciousness and location of the apartment. It does indeed make Diva-Nimes a "find".. However, as regards your comments about the bed linen and towels we are in the process of renewing them. Thankfully, our regular cleaner has also returned after a three week absence. As far as the bed in the "Puccini" room (where you slept) is concerned, we have in fact already ordered a new, wider and longer one (the mattresses in the other two rooms are firmer and more recent). As far as the kitchen utensils are concerned we will be looking at them and replacing those which have had their day. Thank you very much for your wake up call and we will do everything to ensure we won't need another one !
