Shorewood House is located in the heart of Shelburne's Historic District. A stone's throw from the harbour and a short drive to a number of deserted
beaches , Shorewood House offers a good base from which to explore the South Shore. It is approximately an hour to Yarmouth and two hours to Halifax, with lots of interesting places to explore along the way.
The guesthouse is about 100 meters up from the harbour where there is a boardwalk, a swimming area and park. Over 16 km long, Shelburne Harbour is a large natural deep-water harbour that supports a number of small fishing villages, the town of
Shelburne , some lobster fishing wharfs, the Shelburne Harbour Yacht Club and Islands Provincial Park .
