This charming home is situated in an idyllic private wooded setting on Sengekontacket Pond, one of the largest salt-water ponds on Martha's Vineyard. Comfortably furnished, it has a newly renovated kitchen and a new dining area overlooking Major's Cove. There is also a new screened in sun room for rainy days. Views from this deck include an Audubon Society aviary 1/4 mile across the water, and Nantucket Sound a mile away. In the evening, swans and rabbits feed in your back yard. The home contains four bedrooms and a large living room with a working fireplace and cathedral ceilings. The home sits in an association noted for its quietude, safety, and charm. Bring your sea kayak, windsurfer and fishing pole and use them in the back yard. An additional fresh water pond with a sandy beach for toddlers and tennis courts come with the rental. Bike trails abut the association, leading to the state forest, Edgartown, and Oak Bluffs. Golf is one mile away.
