The rental/leasing office (Ms. Jeanette Haynes from Long and Foster) did an amazing job cooridinating the booking, the repair orders, and addressing any and all issues experienced. I would definetely contact Ms. Haynes for future bookings.

We were lucky to rent Northern Exposure for a family vacation week. Good: house is beautiful and roomy. Not as good: one small downstairs bedroom not too comfy. Unfortunately, the house sits atop a cliff, and there are 72 (count 'em) steps to get up and down to the lake and there is no, none, nada cellphone service. The water is deep off the pier, and the neighborhood is quiet. Was tough for elderly parents to get to and from the water. House layout very well planned, so everyone wasn't atop each other all week. Screened-in porches very nice!

Our families traveled from West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Maryland to what we considered a central location. The house was beautiful with plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked with many cooking utensils, dishes and all of the comforts of home. Since there was no cell phone service available, it was a pleasant suprise to find the "land" line was available for long distance calls. All in all the house was lovely, and made our vacation enjoyable

The rental office was very friendly and available throughout the entire renting process, all the way up to when we reached the front door of the house and beyond.
The home was very cozy. It was not too open of a floor plan, but that made for a more private setting between bedrooms and entertainment rooms. There was plenty of space for my 11 person entourage. Be wary though, if you are a tall person (6ft or more), you will not be able to sleep in one of the guest rooms. It was great for adults and kids alike.
I didn't like the fact that the hottub was right outside of one master bedroom, instead nearer to the living room area. It made for a noisy room, and then everyone kept coming through the bedroom entrance (more convenient than through the porch entrance - it was cold and no one wanted to walk an inch more).
The Deep Creek area is a small town with a grocery store, liquor store, gift shop, and some random eating places. If you don't want fancy, and can settle for basics, then Deep Creek is for you. The area did have its own ski shop, so you didn't have to rent at the ski resort.
