It is a very nice house with a beautiful view. We had rented it before and were happy to come again.
Some things need to be taken care of. The bedspreads are a little worn and the mattress in the bedroom on the third floor needs to be replaced. We had to put towels underneath the sheets because the mattress was so uneven. My other only complaint is that there should be at least some toilet paper in each bathroom.. When we arrived some of the bathrooms had none whatsoever and we had to rush to the store to get them.
Thank you for your review! We will work with the owner to see what we can do about replacing that mattress and getting some more updated bedding. Sometimes there are rolls of tp left in the home, and sometimes there are not. That is why we put in the rental agreements to bring some with you. We are sorry for the inconvenience and do understand where you are coming from. Hope to see you at Very Beary Ridge again soon!

Was concerned because the agency had us sign off on an addendum because we were not a "typical" family...we were essentially a group of adults that wanted to get away as a group, this was not cited as an issue until after my payment was processed in full. The ladies from the agency that I dealt with were also not very pleasant.
"My weekend in Deep Creek 2012 was not as nice as it has been in"

For the past six years, I have arranged a weekend get-a-way for ten women. We have stayed in various places throughout Deep Creek, and, for the most part, our stays have been very nice. This year, however, we were unhappy for a few reasons. We were unable to use the Dvrs for the two main televisions in the home. When we called for maintenance someone tried to walk us through the steps to fix the problem. My friend explained that this was not her idea of a vacation, so the woman she was speaking to then said she'd send someone, but they couldn't get there until the afternoon. We also did not have Internet service which was advertised that the house had wireless Internet. After talking to the main office and the owner, Very Beary Ridge did not have Internet service, and no one seemed aware of this problem. The home was clean and comfortable, but we did have to supply paper products and soap.

Getting back to work this week felt a lot better after a four night stay at this house. The beds are real comfortable, the master suite being upstairs really worked for the couple that came on the trip so they could have their own space. The kitchen served us quite well and no complaints there. The basement is great for everyone, the big screen TV(which should be upgraded soon) was great to for people to watch and play PS3 while others played billiards and read. Everyone was real happy with the stay.
The downsides was the hot tube was too small and the water was quite dirty when we got there. Also all the Tv's are tube Tv's so you won't get the high definition image you want. Outside that the house is real nice and would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay there. Beware though, you really do need four wheel drive to get up the hill during winter

The home was very comfortable and nice. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the hot tub was outside of the house although, a couple of us still got in anyway. Other than that the house was perfect.
"The cabin overlooking the lake was a breathtaking."

The customer service was great from the beginning, Erica Graham was attentive and informative. The house was beautiful, the amenities(bedrooms)layout online didn't match the actual layout. The home was lovely, after having rented in Deep Creek since 2003, we loved the fact that each bedroom had their private bath. Although, afraid of heights, and used to renting lakefront homes,I was okay because the house wasn't high up in the mountains. The room in the basement with a king or queen bed would allow the house to be a 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath home.
The home was clean, the only thing that was alarming, was when I removed the linen in one on check out day, the mattress covering had bloodstains and in another room , the pillow had bloodstains. Not sanity.
The house and customer service would still be rated 5 ***s

We rented this cabin for our annual new years celebration and we had 8 people stay in the home. Overall, it was really nice. All the bedrooms had their own bathroom, the beds were all Q or K sized and everything was very clean. It's listed as fitting 10 people, which it would have (futon on the 2nd floor) but it had a smaller living area than I would have liked. For 8 people it was just enough space, if we'd had 10 it would have been pretty tight. Also, the kitchen table didn't have seating for 10 (or 8). We made it work and the kitchen was nicely stocked with dishes and other stuff needed for cooking which made it very easy to make our own meals.
The biggest problem I had with the place was accessibility. It was on the top of a LARGE hill and you had to take really steep roads up to it. Nothing in the contract or advertising about the place mentioned that it could be difficult getting there. The weekend we went it snowed the entire time and the road to the cabin was a sheet of ice by the time we got there. After many attempts to get up the hill, we had to leave our cars on the lower part of the hill and walk our carloads of stuff up the very slippery/icy hill. We called for a plow truck and he didn't plow, he just laid down stuff for traction and then as it kept snowing throughout the weekend he wasn't very good about keeping up with ice/snow on the roads. It was dangerous and I felt management could have done a lot better job with clearing the roads or at least warning people of the possible difficulty in getting there.
Overall the cabin was great and we had a wonderful stay, but I probably wouldn't stay in that specific cabin again because of the difficulty in getting there.
