My family and I stayed at Heart and Soul for 3 nights. It was a great, it had everything we were looking for in a vacation home. It was centrally located and in it's own private lot. The house had entertainment (games, pool table, karaoke machine, Foosball table) , a hot tub and Jacuzzi. It was large a large house with great decor.

"The house was great but Long & Foster's service was terrible!"

The house was beautiful. We were return renters and would definitely stay there again. It would have been nice to have king size blankets on the king sized bed but that is not a huge deal.
However service we received from Long & Foster made our weekend very frustrating from beginning to end.
First, we could not gain entry into the house because I did not realize that the entry code needed to have a # sign before entering the number. I accept responsibility for that. However I tried contacting the office and emergency number 4 times while waiting outside for an hour in the cold with three kids after traveling 3 hours to get there. Why did the emergency line accepting calls when it wasn't in effect until 6pm?
Second, the driveway was snow covered when we arrived and it snowed another 6 inches overnight. No one came to plow the driveway which is automatically supposed to happen when more than 4 inches falls. We tried to leave around 2:00 to go to Wisp and the car got stuck top of the very steep driveway forcing us to call a tow truck. No one ever came to plow one of the steepest driveways (comment from the tow truck driver) in Deep Creek. When we called the office Saturday evening they acted like it was our fault for not calling to request a plow. The plow finally came by 11 am the next morning but we had already shoveled ourselves for our 10am snow tubing session. We missed an afternoon and evening of fun at Wisp and had to pay $84 for the tow.
The worst part of the entire weekend was returning the keys to Long & Foster and wanting to talk to someone about what happened. The woman behind the desk was very rude, condescending, unattentive and through the smirk on her face, acted like she couldn't care less about our concerns or our repeat business. We didn't want any compensation, just some answers and never recieved any. She assured us that she wrote down our concerns and we would be contacted by a manager, but of course that did not happen.
Thank you for your review. First, we are glad that you liked the home! It is a lovely place to stay-very private and quiet. We apologize for the inconvienience of the weather during this time. We experienced about 38 inches of snowfall before and during your trip, which was much more than normal in one week. We did certainly try to keep up the best we could, and would have expedited the service if you would have called us during business hours. The plow driver there is the employee of the HOA and I am sure he was doing the best he could also. It was a unique situation. As the manager, I did speak with Ms Hise on 2/18 about the issues of the stay and gladly reimbursed for the tow at Long and Foster's expense, so we did follow through and addresses the issues and had a very productive converstaion. We do hope that you will come back in the future and stay with us again.

This house was perfect for our weekend ski getaway! It was very spacious and cozy and the entire atmosphere of the house made everyone want to rent the same place again! It was too cold to venture out to the slopes so we ended up getting sleds (we were all adults with no children) and had a blast down the driveway and secluded road! The only negative (but not a big one) was I wish we knew how steep the driveway was beforehand so some friends could've carpooled in the 4WD vehicles...other than that it was a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for your review! The owner of Heat and Soul does just that, they put their Heart and Soul into the home to make sure their guests enjoy it! We will make a note about the driveway. We thought it was stated in the rental agreement, but we will make sure it is for future people. Thanks again, and please come see us soon!
"Everything we hoped and more!!!"

We had the best time ever! The location was beautiful and private, yet close to everything we needed. The home was more beautiful, awesome, spacious, and homey than we had even hoped for! Long and Foster was fast and flexible! Great trip!!!

This house was beautiful and relaxing. The amenities were the best we have experienced of any home in this price range. Beautiful view, secluded, convenient, comfortable, extremely well maintained. We love this house!

Location was good. House was very clean. Weather has gotten much warmer at Deep Creek, so we rented this place because it said it had central ac but it did not. Just a tiny wall mounted unit that did next to nothing.Only problem we had . Description of rental online is very misleading. Central ac is not a wall unit. Other than some warm nights of sleep, all else was great.

Everything was wonderful. Our only problem was we woke up the day after checking in and had no water in the house. We called the office and within literally 1 minute we heard from the owner, who told us what to do, and it worked. We had no other issues all week. The house could not be any nicer. Decorations make all the difference, and these folks did more than their share to make you feel homey. we would definitely stay here again.

As I am disabled, this was a very relaxing weekend with my family. It could have been better if 1) it had not taken us 30 minutes to find the house. 2)we could find the terrible odor that appeared every time we turned on the water. This did not happen throughout the whole house but in different rooms at different times. 3) we could get the bbq grill to work. 4) the house was beautifully decorated, but if you have a large dog( as we did) or a toddler many items could be accidently broken. We did have a very nice weekend and we certainly use Long & Foster again.

Heart & Soul is a great place to stay. In the heart of everything, but you feel like you are in the woods. My experience with Long & Foster was not so great. The house was suppose to be ready at noon, and when we arrived at 2:00 pm they told us it was not ready and the front desk person was very rude and basically said there is nothing we can do and it is to bad. If another real estate firm was renting this property I would absolutely rent it again. Great location, very warm and inviting atmosphere.

House is lovely. Tons of attention paid to make it a deep creek, homelike experience. Says central aC and it has one aC unit up in loft so the stay was very warm. Last night of trip lost all water so we couldn't make dinner or breakfast next morning. Toilets and showers were obviously an issue. Tried repeatedly to call rental agency emergency pager and no answer. Told rental agency when I checked out and they took my name and number and never heard back from them. Unfortunate end to a great couple of days.
