The cottage provides a great, grassy backyard that is perfect for the kids to play and for you to relax and enjoy the fresh air. The property backs onto a natural ravine so the rear of the property is well treed. A gazebo is situated at the rear of the property for privacy and peace and quiet. A campfire can be enjoyed in the backyard on the stoned patio, with the portable fire pit. The cottage is just under 1 km (900m) from access to the sandy shores of Lake Huron. It is also walking distance to the rail trail access, which is a great walking path that links Port Elgin and Southampton. Also just a short 10 min walk away are tennis courts. A short 5 minute drive will bring you into downtown Southampton where you can enjoy the shops, restaurants, more public sandy beach, and Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre.
