Description
Villa Lorraine is a beautiful, spacious Provencal villa suitable for couples, families or a group of friends.
It has great open views across the Bois de Opio all the way to the sea.
It's very conveniently located in the quaint perched village of Opio, a five minute drive away from Valbonne and close by to Antibes, Cannes, Nice and Grasse. It's a great property in which to spend a relaxing holiday as it offers total tranquillity. Take your morning coffee while enjoying the sunshine, the wonderful views of the sea and the surrounding country side.
Interior design is very calm, light, cool and comfortable. There is a large LED TV, Multistandard DVD, WiFi Internet access. Outside is a relaxing undercover area for al fresco dining. The pool house has a gas BBQ, sofa setting and table with 4 chairs.
The large pool 10 x 5m has sun all day (solar heated if needed).There are comfortable sun beds with umbrellas around the pool for those who love to lie in the sun. The garden has about 30 olive trees. It is terraced but not landscaped.
There is a ping pong table and some children's toys to keep the younger members of your party amused.
Over the last 18 months the villa has had a 50 sq m extension completed with a new kitchen and dining room. There is now an 80 s m terrace.
The two bedrooms upstairs and the main bedroom on the main floor are air conditioned. There are fans also provided. The villa often benefits from an afternoon breeze.
Close by are supermarkets, boulangeries and a large selection of wonderful restaurants. A short drive away is Valbonne and other perched villages - St Paul de Vence, Gourdon and Biot. The sea side towns of Nice, Antibes and Cannes, where during the summer months one can enjoy the sea, beach side restaurants and stunning firework displays at night are just a short drive away.
Within a ten minute drive are some outstanding golf courses. Tennis courts are available close by.

“A great vacation in fantastic setting”
We were a party of seven who stayed at this villa for a week in mid June 2016. It had everyting we could ask for and more. Indoor, we enjoyed the big dining room table when we wanted to dine inside, and outside, we could dine on the terrace and by the pool. The pool setting is gorgeous with a view to Antibes and the Mediterranean. The neighboorhood is very quiet and peaceful. We loved the tv room with the flat screen tv where we could all watch football. The hosts are friendly and hospitable and made sure everything was in order. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definately consider coming back.

“Comfortable villa - beautiful scenery”
I decided to write a review about Villa Lorraine because we found reviews helpful when we were looking for a villa for our family holiday. Photos give an idea but they never tell the whole story. Villa Lorraine had everything we were looking for and upon arrival we realized it had more than we had anticipated! The view all the way to the Mediterranean Sea was magnificent and the peace and quiet of the area was something we were looking for. There were 10 of us travelling together, my husband and I, our 4 children, son-in-law and daughter-in-law + 2 grandchildren, age 1 and 2. The layout of the villa, set on 3 levels, is ideal for people who want to enjoy their time together yet have some privacy and space of their own. As the Villa Lorraine is situated quite high up we benefited from the light breeze - great in the hot weather. Our early morning walk down to the boulangerie was enjoyable but a bit challenging going back up the hill. We enjoyed all the different eating and seating araes of the villa, the swimming pool was great, large enough to enjoy a swim as well as just to cool down. It made a difference having the children's playground and the ping pong table when you have a large group of people with different interests. Many thanks to our hosts, Lynda and Chris for their hospitality and their friendly yet professional way of running their business. Their personal touch, responding quickly to every e-mail and speaking on the phone before any commitments were made gave us peace of mind when we were planning and dreaming of our holiday during our long Icelandic winter. Gradually we had built up high expectations which were all met! Last but not least I would like to share a brilliant idea. Through Lynda I contacted Lori Mazziotta-Gardet who along with her team prepared and served us a delicious meal our first evening at the villa. What a treat not having to go out and shop or take the children to a restaurant, tired after the journey. We do recommend this very affordable solution.
