Description
Ardenia is situated on the edge of the delightful village of Appleton Wiske. There is a pub 100m away, which serves food on weekends, a village shop and playing fields all within easy walking distance. The village is only 5 miles from the A19, which leads easily onto the A1. It is an ideal base to explore The North Yorks Moors, which are a short drive away. The historical cities of York and Durham can be reached in under an hour. Travel a bit further and you can explore the beautiful villages and countryside in the Dales. The charming seaside locations of Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick Bay are all within easy reach. The property is annexed to the main bungalow, occupied by the owners. There is a large bedroom with a 6 foot bed and en suite shower room. The bed will also make into 2 singles, please specify your preference on booking. There is also a 2'6" fold up bed, suitable for a child or small adult to accomodate a 3rd guest [please note the shower room is only accessible from the main bedroom]. We have a travel cot [please bring bedding], baby bath and high chair for people travelling with a baby. The shower room has a toilet, washbasin and easy access shower. The lounge leads into a dining area and then a fully fitted kitchen, with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, oven and grill. A conservatory leads out onto a large rear, fully fenced patio area with table and chairs and a barbeque. A small patio at the front of the property allows you to take advantage of the sun whatever the time of day. There is an off road parking space for one car, but a 2nd car could be accommodated if required. There is strictly no smoking in the house, ashtrays are supplied outside on the patio areas. For people with limited mobility, the accommodation is on one level, however there are 2 steps into the house at the front and back.

“Perfect”
Fantastic property in a lovely location. Very clean and just the right size for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs.Wendy and David are very welcoming and there if you need anything. Great walks for the dogs and a good local pub.

“Exquisite and quaint”
Appleton whiske is a beautiful little village near Northallerton Yorkshire, if you are looking for peace and quiet to escape the fast city life, then look no further, Wendy and David go above and beyond, making you feel at home, the bungalow is spacious and beautiful the grounds are breathtaking, Wendy and David have a collection of truly adorable animals I would recommend staying here it’s a beautiful place, up the A19 is the beautiful Preston park Mueseum and grounds, near Stockton on tees, packed with plenty to do for all the children butterfly farm on the grounds boat rides, adventure playground, jump on the A19 to thirsk to monk hill farm a beautiful working farm, children enjoy feeding the lambs or calf’s at feeding times, enjoying the barrel train ride, or park, if preferred catch the park and ride into the beautiful city of York, the location of the bungalow is amazing with the added bonus of two beautiful hosts Wendy and david

“Lovely weekend”
