Lying on the North side of Mount Pausillo, apartments belong to an Organic Olive Oil Farm; they are located on the hills and surrounded by olive trees.

Enjoy the stunning view from the location: lakes (Chiusi and Trasimeno), mountains (Amiata and Cetona) and medieval renown boroughs like Chiusi, Chianciano, Montepulciano, Castiglione del Lago, Cortona and Sarteano; those towns look like gems on the hills and are easy and funny to spot and identify during night; being close to the border with Tuscany makes that the view from the property is 95% towards that region.

Feel free to take a walk through the Farm and towards the peak of Mount Pausillo; from there, it is possible to have a fantastic view on the South side until Perugia, 50 km far.

Mount Pausillo is a natural park and the perfect habitat for birds; birdwatchers can just forget about time while trying to spot them, the only noise being the breeze through trees.

It might be easy to spot as well wild animals, like foxes, hedgehogs, porcupines, wild boars, hares : they are not dangerous and they won't come close to the houses, not even the boars.

Sport: Horse-back riding at Maneggio Natura & Cavallo just on the same hill and down the property; easy to reach even walking, but uphill on the way back home might be heavy.

Sailing, it is easy to find a rental boat around the lake Trasimeno, notably in Castiglione del Lago; Tuoro and San Feliciano are known for kite-surf and wind-surf.

Golf: a nice 9 holes Golf Club, the Lamborghini, is 9 km far; aside, there is as well the vineyard where is possible to have a wine tasting and buy wine.

Of course, the most renown place close-by to buy wine is Montepulciano, cute medieval borough famous for wine and art, located half an hour far from Paciano; the famous Vino Nobile and the producers will just be waiting for you to have a wine tasting.

The Cantiere dell' Arte of Montepulciano organize exhibitions and concerts of classic music during the summer; a hint for teenagers, Montepulciano is the place where Twilight has been filmed.

The southern Siena region is a volcanic region with its hot springs.

The closest place is San Casciano Dei Bagni where there is a well established Hotel with Spa (thermal pools) and a beauty center; if you are more keen to funny experiences, there is the old natural pool, just before getting into the village down through a white road on the left (by the way, very nice at sunset).

Other towns with thermal baths and natural old pools, though more than an hour far, are Bagno Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo, San Quirico d'Orcia, and, southern, Radicofani.

A hint for Petrolheads: the road from San Quirico to Radicofani is part of the famous Mille Miglia, precisely direction south.

A hint for Wine lovers: the town of Montalcino is not far; the famous Brunello and vineyards are simply waiting for your visit.

Not far from Montalcino, the town of Pienza (Movie: The English Patient) has been the first small italian town known as The Ideal Town because built in the 17th century accordingly with a regular plan; Pienza received the award of World Heritage Site from Unesco In 1996.

Art and culture:

close to Paciano, there is the cute village of Panicale, home of famous Masolino; inside the old village, there is a tiny theatre still in use for concerts and a fresco from Perugino who was born and worked as well in Città della Pieve.

Chiusi, the ancient city of King Porsenna, is a city of Etruscan origin and capital city of Etruscan Kingdom; the tombs, which are very interesting, are just outside the town. Famous is as well the Tomb of the Monkey, because of a monkey in the main room ornaments and of course the labyrinth of King Porsenna.

On the other side of Lake Trasimeno, a 25 km far, is the town of Cortona (Movie: Under the Tuscan Sun); famous is the oldest lamp in the world (Etruscan, from the 5th century B.C.), which can be seen at the museum of The Etruscan Academy.

Direction Rome, 40 km far is the town of Orvieto: the cathedral is gorgeous and the well, the 'Pozzo di San Patrizio', very interesting; the underground borough deserve a visit.

Orvieto has been one of the many Popes town as well as Viterbo, another 45 km southern.

The region is full of restaurants offering great food, but if you want to get in touch with locals, you can't miss the 'Sagra'. A Sagra is a rural festival held in the open air with folk music, dancing and games, usually based around one or more culinary specialities, which can usually be sampled in the various booths. These festivals normally take place during summer months.
