Condo well furnished - tons of storage - kitchen nicely equiped. Very close to ocean. Quiet. Loved free Wi-fi. Would remove small blue rug from kitchen as it "shed" & created mess. Smart to have broom & nite lights, etc. Kitchen sink faucet needs tightened - stool runs if not watched. Lots of beach equipment. lots to do within walking & biking distance - loved having bikes. People we met were friendly. Directions & instructions were clear, thorough & concise. Quick response when we needed help & information. Would stay there again.
"I enjoyed a lot about it, but ... there are also a lot of things"

All the things that I did not like about it : 1)The underground parking is very, very small to drive around in. The parking spots are really very small. There was a barrier, as well as bikes to avoid "in" the actual parking-spot. It was really difficult to reverse out of. 2) There were only 2 sets of keys to the apt.
3) The week that my girlfriend and I stayed there, there was a heat-wave in San Diego, California. There was no air-conditioning, at all, except for opening the bedroom window, and the front door.It was always (much) hotter inside the apt. than outside of it. We were told that there were 2 fans in the apt. First of all, I did not find them until after the first night's stay in the apt. None of the fans were floor-fans. One of them did not work well at all. I had to call Nancy... and ask for a floor-fan.4) There were no premium channels on the cable-television. If my girlfriend did not have her lap-top, with a subscription to Netflix on it, then I do not know what we would have done? 5) The bed in the bedroom is only queen-size.6) There was no bedside radio/alarm clock beside the bed. 7) I did not figure out until virtually the last day which of the 2 keys were to unlock the apt. dumpsters, which were outside the apartment complex itself. 8) The apt. pool is really very, very small. What I liked about the apt. : 1) It was right on the beach as advertised. However, you have to walk down a steep flight of steps to get to it. 2) Everything in the apt. is as advertised. 3) Very nice appliances, televisions, etc.I also liked the tables, chairs, furniture, etc. There is a wonderful hair-dryer in the bathroom.
I'm glad they liked the location and furniture. I will try to address the things they didn't like.
1. Since no one else has complained about the garage and we have 5 rentals in this building, perhaps this guest had a very large vehicle. It's a little tight but not as bad as most of the tiny garages that come with individual rentals in the beach area.
2. This is a one bedroom apartment so we only provide two sets of keys. Had they asked for more, we could have provided more but actually we just replaced the door lock with an electronic lock making the key to the door unnecessary.
3. We have about one week a year that AC is necessary. Therefore, you will find that only about 5% of homes in San Diego on the beach have AC. It's just not common in the beach area. I did purchase and bring them a large standing fan which is still in the condo.
4. I have asked the owner to upgrade their cable subscription to include premium channels.
5. Yes, the bed is queen sized and we advertise it as such. We do have many other rentals with king beds if that is preferred.
6. There is a small alarm clock but not a radio/alarm clock.
7. Our instruction address the location of the dumpster and it's the same key as the building key.
8. The pool is not that small but the Jacuzzi hot tub is very small (3 person limit). Perhaps that is the pool they were referring to.

"Comfortable beach condo fun with kids"

Overall very fun and pleasant experience . Great location, convenient parking, walk to restaurants and beach, nice pool and jacuzzi (although jacuzzi quite tiny but still nice to have).
Very minor negatives: some pillows uncomfortable w plastic wrapping- not fun to sleep on, felt cheap. Noisy neighbors at night and windows need to stay open or gets very stuffy. Broken boogie boards- replaced with a new one. More toilet paper please w a family of 4 and 3 girls- bought more. More towels please - always wet or damp w all the pool and beach and showers.

Although the exterior of the building isn't much to look at, the condo was clean and in excellent condition; the pool was better than most hotel pools and the kids used it daily. Although PB is a bit of a "party town", the location of the condo on Pacific Beach is great for a family...close to everything and far enough away from the bars to feel quiet and safe.

This was my first time staying in a vacation rental so I didn't know what to expect. Thanks to this experience, I'll definitely do it again.
Summary - Awesome place. Great location. A little bit noisy, but otherwise perfect.
Facility - Neat and clean. Everything you need is available...even beach toys for the kids! Pool was right outside the door; could open the blinds in the living room and watch the family playing. Only downer was no aC but that wasn't a big problem as the temperature never exceeded 75 degrees and opening the windows cooled the place adequately. Unfortunately, this is what caused the noisy comment; open windows means you hear everything going on at the nearby party.
Location - Access to the beach was literally steps away. Several shops, restaurants and convenient stores in walking distance. Short drive to all major attractions.
I've already recommended it to friends and coworkers and contemplating going back next year.

The unit was really close to the beach, and was well outfitted and provisioned; however, the decor and furnishings were not to my taste, the unit had no a/c and air circulation on a hot week was poor. The unit was noisier than I expected, as windows had to be open, and the building behind and the pool in front were very noisy. Installation of window a/c units front and back would be a big plus.
We would like to thank this guest for taking the time to post a review and hope that they still enjoyed their over-all stay regardless of their noted concerns. Unfortunately, we had some rare hot days when they visited this past July. Our temperature on average in San Diego is 70 degrees year-round (http://www.sandiego.org/plan-your-trip/visitor-information/weather.aspx) and air-conditioning by the beach (where the Ocean serves as nature's own air-conditioning!) is very unnecessary and rare in general. We have a few vacation rentals that have air-conditioning should this be a preference of a future guest and we also do advertise this one as 'no a/c'. We believe that the heat-wave probably played a factor in the pool area perhaps being noisier than normal and we are sorry to hear that this disrupted their stay. Regarding taste, it's difficult to meet everyone's expectations in this area as taste is such a personal matter, but please feel free to contact our office to discuss individual preferences in the future; we know our properties and locations intimately and are here to help provide the best recommendation to ensure that a guest's stay both meets and exceeds their expectations.

"Incredible week in San Diego"

Absolutely loved the condo! Loved being about to walk to restaurants and the beach was across the bike path. Loved being able to spend time at the beach and then jump into a warm pool at our front door.
Kitchen was well stocked! Great TV, watched the Olympics every late night.
Bedroom bed wasn't the most comfortable, but I have a Temper-Pedic at home, so it's hard to compare to that.
Would stay there again!
