The twin-island Caribbean nation of TRINIDAD and TOBAGO is the inspiration for Villa Caribe’s two second-story one bedroom suites, both with spectacular ocean views from the living rooms. The Trinidad is a 650 sq ft. one bedroom suite, and accommodates up to four people with a Cal-King bed in the bedroom and a queen-size sofa sleeper with an upgraded gel-infused memory foam mattress (4/2014) in the living room. The Trinidad boasts a fully equipped kitchen, free washer and dryer in garage, and garage parking for one car. This is a pet friendly property.
Regarding Villa Caribe's location: Three blocks to your left you'll find Sunset Cliffs Nature Park - a great place to spend the day exploring cliffs, caves, and tide pools!
Directly in front of you lies a spacious patio area – with a convenient gas BBQ, a small sandy “beach” area we created to enjoy cocktails and the breathtaking views of the sunset - and, of course, miles and miles of deep blue ocean where we often see migrating whales, playful pods of dolphins and adventurous surfers.
We are located on a small cliff overlooking an enchanting, rocky, tide pool-explorer's beach (and surfing area!). Enjoy unmatched ocean views from the property or head down to the beach - just a short 1/2 block walk away!
There are three beach cruiser bicycles in the garage for you to ride on the boardwalk or the OB bike path. They are shared and on a first-come-first-served basis. ASK if this unit has AC!
A few blocks to your right is the casual seaside town of Ocean Beach. Stroll along Newport Avenue and take in the array of small shops and boutiques. From antiques to surfboards, sandwich shops to ocean-front fine dining – and bars and taverns in between – Ocean Beach is friendly, informal, and fun!
In the evening, enjoy cocktails while listening to the surf, or take a romantic stroll on the famous Ocean Beach pier, and enjoy the lights of San Diego from the over-water restaurant.
Be sure to catch the fireworks display from Sea World - only 10 minutes away! Return home to your ocean-front, cliff-side hideaway, enjoy some wine with a loved one, and listen to the waves crash on the beach. Paradise!
Villa Caribe is also close to all San Diego has to offer: 30 seconds from a rocky beach-explorer’s playground (beach access is a short walk around the block), 2 minutes to the heart of Ocean Beach, 6 minutes to the charming village of old Pt. Loma, with its shops, restaurants and the San Diego Yacht Club, 10 minutes to Sea World, Old Town, the Gas Lamp District, the airport, shopping at Fashion Valley Mall, 15 minutes to the World Famous San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park, and about 30 minutes to Legoland and the Wild Animal Park.

We originally rented a first floor studio and NVR was extremely accommodating in allowing us to rent this larger ocean-view unit. The unit itself was very clean and comfortable. Any issues that we found were instantly resolved with an email or phone call. I couldn't have asked for a more responsive service team. The only thing keeping this rental from being "excellent" is that the reception from the outdated television in the living room was poor (but we weren't on vacation to watch TV) and the pull out bed in the sofa was a little less than comfortable, but it was an over all great experience. Thank you so much for your detailed review! The owner just upgraded all TV's to Flat Screen's. We have have replaced the sofa bed mattress with a new gel-infused memory foam mattress which is much more comfortable. We are so grateful that you gave us the opportunity to help you during your stay. We are available at anytime and at any hour to help our guests. We look forward to you staying with us again in near future.

Our short 3 night stay was fabulous. The apartment had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. We rent in the area every spring break and this is on our top 2 list now. The sunset view cannot be beat. The common area was nice and we visited with other guests and had a great time.

Can't think of anything negative about our stay in the Trinidad. The condo itself is really nicely appointed. Great kitchen, jetted tub and wonderfully comfortable bed.
But we didn't really spend much time inside. The condo's location is a short walk around the corner to a quiet inlet beach area where one can watch dolphins jumping, surfers and be mesmerized by the waves crashing in. The backyard is an oasis with all the amenities you'll need.
Best of all though is the proximity to downtown Ocean Beach. We rented a car for a couple of excursions but, otherwise, tons of awesome restaurants and shopping are within walking distance.
Our unit was upstairs so it might not be a good place for someone needing a ground floor unit.
I also used the laundry and other items available in the garage plus it was great to have parking in there coming back late at night.
We had a great time! Based on this experience, I'd stay in any Nancy's property! We'll be back!

We enjoyed the stay in Ocean Beach. The unit was comfortable with all the necessary items for our stay and cooking. Garage parking was helpful and the location with views to the ocean and Sunset Cliffs was nice. Good supply of towels and kitchen cleaning items. Would stay there again. thx

We really enjoyed our stay for the 4th of July holiday. The condo pictures do not do the unit justice. It was very clean and the bedroom is quite large. The fold-out couch was nice. My only complaint...it ended too soon. Sunsets are amazing and there are a ton of paths that run along the ocean (right around the corner)...go out and explore them! We took the bus to the city, without issue, and did a lot of walking. The 'alley' neighbors were a bit loud, but it was the fourth of July - so that was to be expected. All of the other unit guests were quiet (it was only loud in our bedroom because we had the windows open onto the alley). There were fans in the unit, which was nice, it stayed comfortable on the second floor with them running. I had to work for 2 days and had no issues with the wifi or connecting onto my company's VPN - so top ratings for that!

The Trinidad unit was perfect. Clean, comfortable (even the bed) and the location was perfect. We were nervous about staying sight un seen...but the unit was wonderful. The ocean view from the dining room and kitchen was just what we needed. This unit is on the second floor and the ocean breeze flowed through the unit beautifully.
Our vacation was all about our dog and Dallas had a wonderful time. Dog beach was around the corner and OB Dog Bath was just down the street. It let's you bath your dog and get the sand and ocean smell off for $6.95...we used it daily. Trinidad also has a fenced yard with grass which was lovely and safe.
The grill would not work and there were no matches in the unit to light the grill. That was the only obstacle to a perfect week. If you are a TV watcher...the television they have is one we got rid of 10 years ago. No flat screen which only made us appreciate ours more when we got home.
I am a very picky individual...and I can honestly tell you the unit is wonderful. Bring your own pillow...and enjoy your stay at the Trinidad Ocean Beach Condo.

We did not want to be in location that had all of the college spring breakers, but wanted to be close to the ocean and everything San Diego. This place fit the bill. We really enjoyed the stay, along with the fact that it has a garage, washer/dryer, and beach equipment. Bikes were great too. Just wish there had been 4 bikes!

Nancy and her staff are wonderful. They are on top of every question you might have and with a very quick response. They were even kind enough to allow us to postpone our trip and book at a later date with no fee. Thanks for that!!
The condo is exactly as promised and more. They supply you with everything from laundry soap, dish soap to shampoo and body wash. Where else can you find that??
We loved our accommodations and will definitely be back. We found the location to be very central to everything we needed and wanted to visit. The condo had everything you would need to cook a full meal every night although we chose to take advantage of the many restaurants so close by.
We loved the view every morning with our coffee and every evening with our wine, although the sunsets were not picture perfect but that was out of everyone's control!! Next time though we hope to get that perfect shot.
Nancy sent links with so much information before we came that we hardly needed to do much research before we left. Make sure to check out Hodad's and the Old Town House restaurant for breakfast on Newport Blvd., as well as the Point Loma Beach cafe on Sunset blvd for either lunch or breakfast. All great finds.
Upon arriving the condo was spotless and you can see the care they take in maintaining everything. No shortage of hotwater. Rain shower head was awesome in the bathroom.
thanks so much for all your personal care and emails to make our vacation just perfect. Hope to see you soon,

The property is exactly as shown in the photos. Comfortable bed,and sofa. The ocean view was nice, and Ocean Beach and funky Newport ave are within easy walking distance. The walk south from the property is really good. It's easy to get from there to downtown attractions, as well as Mission Beach. Nancy's were very good to deal with and responded promptly to a couple of minor issues. Loved it.
functional, convenient access to sightseeing north & south

We stayed 6 nights for sightseeing in San Diego. We found the condo comfortable, providing everything we needed and convenient for 2 of us plus a dog. The area has limited restaurant selections (mostly beach bar scenes) so we needed to go to Gaslamp or Little Italy for better restaurants. We spent time walking the dog each day and the neighborhood isn't very scenic even though it's right along the cliffs (but with limited access to see the ocean) I never felt unsafe walking the dog alone in the early mornings. Certainly there are fabulous restaurants 5 miles away in the GasLamp district and Little Italy but there are also over 100 restaurants within a couple miles of this rental including French-Mediterranean, Seafood, Mexican (several), Vietnamese-Asian Fusion, American, Steakhouse, BBQ, Italian, Greek, German, Indian, Chinese, Sushi, Thai, Vegetarian and Vegan plus great burgers, subs, Pizza and coffee houses. There is also a really fun Farmers Market every Wednesday in the streets downtown OB and the best Organic Market in San Diego. Nancy

We had a lovely week in Ocean Beach and our accomodations were really lovely. The Trinidad has a simple but lovely decor and we were able to walk nearly everywhere in Ocean Beach easily. The view from our living room was amazing. We enjoyed sharing the hot tub with our son, and cooking out on the grill one evening. It was also very nice to be able to access WiFi and check email, etc. The info sheet we received before arriving gave the code numbers for everything and allowed us check in smoothly - which was really appreciated after a long day of planes and airports. Thanks for putting everything together so seamlessly for us.

We have rented every august in San Diego for the last 9 years and this was our favorite! Most rental units have kitchen gadgets and dishes that are mix-mashed and appear to have come from yard sales. The kitchen appointments were top-of-the line! Very clean, well maintained unit. Nancys rentals were very responsive when we informed them of beach sand in the pool. Very impressed!
Lovely setting, excellent service, would stay here again

We had a great time at Nancy's vacation rental in San Diego. We stayed in Sunset Cliffs/Ocean Beach area. The apartment was plenty big for my wife and two children. The view was amazing. The grounds are nice and all other people staying there were very friendly. After a day at the beach, we would sit outside for the sunset and chat with the other guests while the kids played in the sandbox right there. The bikes are great to get around the area and to nearby beaches and the boogie boards and free laundry are a perfect addition. Nancy and her colleagues are very professional and all the details and instructions are clear. We would stay again with them.

Thank you Nancy Vacation Rentals for your flexibility to meet our vacation needs, this place had a breathtaking view and location was perfect, close enough to the shops yet right on the ocean. The house was in mint condition, showers looked newly remodeled, shampoo and conditioner better than a 5 star hotel, kitchen had everything for cooking, the only negative I can think of was the can opener was rusted I almost think someone switched it out..but all other utensile like knives etc was top chef quality very very nice!...a home a way from home upgraded :) it was perfect. Thank you again, Best!

We are very familiar with Ocean Beach, having previously lived nearby, and were pleased with the condo's location. It is backed up to the tide pool and is walking distance to Newport avenue and the beaches.
The condo is lovely - perfectly and simply furnished and decorated. Well appointed kitchen with large fridge and dishwasher, dining room table and living room with backyard/ocean views, clean bathroom, very comfy master bedroom and plenty of room for storage. The garage parking and washer/dryer was a definite plus. The place has everything you need to feel at home, whether it be for one night or a few weeks.
I wouldn't be completely honest if I didn't comment that when we arrived a little after our 4pm check-in, we were disappointed to find the cleaning lady still there working and nowhere near done. We had reluctantly delayed our arrival to the condo (we felt 4pm is a pretty late check-in time) by strolling around the town, had a sleepy toddler in tow and wanted to unwind from the road trip to get to SD and were quite put off to have to hang around our car and wait an additional hour before we could occupy the condo. We felt the cleaning fee was far too high, especially for only a one-night stay. Also the three patio loungers were practically unusable. One was completely ripped through and a second was nearly as bad. The patio and sand area need some maintenance attention.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here. It was very convenient for our toddler to have a beautiful, enclosed yard and sandy "beach" area to play and to leave the car securely in the garage without having to fight for street parking.
