BOOK NOW! on Monterey Rentals Website - Experience the vintage charm of Pacific Grove while enjoying all the comfort and conveniences of the 21st century in this beautiful two-story, Victorian-style home built in 2002.
Relax with a drink on the deck outside the master bedroom, on one of two front porches, or on the secluded patio. Your family can spread out in this comfortable home with hardwood floors, a fireplace, and a unique "sun tower" at the top of the stairs. This den/office area, with a wet bar and under-counter refrigerator, is everyone's favorite place to read, chat, or just enjoy the view overlooking this charming neighborhood.
Cherry wood cabinets and a lovely tin ceiling add warmth and charm to the well-equipped kitchen, and the open floor plan can be "zoned" by doors separating the kitchen from the dining area and the living room from the entry way. An instant gas log fireplace in the living room adds ambiance while you enjoy a good book or a movie on cable TV/DVD (available in both the downstairs living room and the upstairs bedrooms).
The maximum number of guests (including children) which may be accommodated at this property is six. All three bedrooms are carpeted and located on the second floor (14 steps up to the bedrooms). The master bedroom, decorated in soft tones of rose and green, has a queen-size bed and a private bath with a stall shower. One guestroom has a queen-size bed; the other has two twins. The guest bath features a shower over tub, and there's another half bath downstairs.
The location makes this Victorian-style home one of our most popular accommodations in Pacific Grove. Upon arrival, you may just want to park your car in the spacious two-car garage and forget about it! Just a block from downtown, you are within easy walking distance of Pacific Grove’s quaint shops, restaurants, the Farmer's Market, and the scenic coastline recreation trail.
If you feel energetic, walk along the coastal trail to the world renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium, exactly one mile from the front door. Along the way, observe marine life - sea lions, seals, otters, and shore birds. Also within easy walking distance: a grocery store, bakeries, library, post office, ice cream parlor, coffee shops, visitor's center, museum, movie theater, bookstore, parks, playground, and boutiques. (If you prefer, there is bus service just a block away that will take you to the Aquarium and Cannery Row, downtown Monterey and Asilomar Beach.)
If you are a golf enthusiast, bring your clubs! The Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Course is just a half mile away, and a short drive will take you to the world-famous links at Pebble Beach. Don’t miss the boutiques and galleries of Carmel, and on a sunny day, take Highway 1 down the coast to Big Sur. (Mmmm, lunch at Nepenthe – an Ambrosia Burger and a basket of their famous fries!)

My husband and I, along with 2 other couples, stayed at Gingerbread for 3 nights. The house is spacious, clean and attractive inside and out. The kitchen is really beautiful! The beds were very comfortable. (We pushed the twin beds together for one couple and it worked out great). The location can't be beat,.. just 2 blocks from Lover's Point and just 1 block from 2 of the best restaurants in the area. We really couldn't have asked for better accommodations. We would LOVE to come back!

My sisters and I had a wonderful visit. The house was well-stocked, the rooms attractive and comfortable. We were even able to host our family for Christmas Eve. The location is fantastic, a block from Lovers' Point and a block from Lighthouse avenue in PG. The only negative was that third bedroom had only children's beds, not even full-sized twin beds. No adult (and we were all adults) would be comfortable sleeping in them.
We're happy to hear that you and your family enjoyed the holidays at Gingerbread. We've checked and confirmed that the beds are standard size twins - we're very sorry you found them inadequate for your group.

My friends and I enjoyed a great weekend at the Gingerbread house in Pacific Grove. The home is very cozy and easily accomodates 6 people comfortably. I really enjoyed our stay and the location was great. It was only about 2 blocks from Lover's Point. We were also able to get up early and jog to the Monterey aquarium, which was a little more than a mile away. I would definitely recommend this home. The staff were quick to answer any questions we had, I would book with them again.
