Description

This custom log home is perched on a ridge overlooking the San Juan Mountains to the east and Archuleta Mesa to the south- almost 270 degrees view. Situated on almost 8 acres, it is located only 2.8 miles south of town off of Highway 84 .

It has three levels. The top floor loft is great for kids to have their own space with two oversized bean bag chairs, a private bedroom with a queen size bed, and big screen tv entertainment at other end of loft. The lower level two bedrooms share a full bath, one has a full size bed with sliding door walkout, the other room bunkbeds. The main level has a spacious living room with gas log fireplace, guest bath/utility, kitchen and the master bedroom. The master has a Serta King custom aspen log bed, TV and private bath with oversized shower and dual sink vanity and great large picture window with views of the San Juan Wilderness to the northeast. At the south end is the log bunkroom with full closet.

The large wrap around deck is covered and affords great views on this over 7 acre property. We also have gas or briquet barbeques for your use. In the summer you can enjoy swing seating for two to enjoy the views, along with four other deckchairs. The kitchen has oak cabinets and formica countertops and is well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, coffee pot, herbs and spices and even a crock pot. Full size fridge has ice maker.

The 2,450 square foot cabin has central forced air heat and air conditioning for your comfort and is cool on the warmest days of summer, and warm and cozy in the winter with a large gas log furnace in the living room. An upgraded DirectTV package is provided. We provide an allergen free environment for our guests, please NO pets.

It also features a dual heated garage with central stairwell indoors in addition to outdoor stairs.

“Scenic,relaxing a genuine mountain retreat”

Response from the owner Our accommodations were inspected hours before guest arrival, and in the interim their was an annual hatch of little ants that had indeed invaded the premises. We responded to guests call within 5 minutes and commenced cleaning up the insects. The guest made it clear they didn't want to stay there, even though we had all the insects gone within an hour. We did indeed make recommendations to alternate lodging and invited them to return the next morning to inspect along with offer of free nights. The offer was rejected and we promptly processed a full refund for them in spite of the fact the premises were insect free and habitable.
