12 MINUTES TO PUNALU’U BEACH ... THE TRAVEL CHANNEL’S #3 TOP HAWAII BEACH!
25 MINUTES TO THE VOLCANO AND LAVA!
DISCOVER WOOD VALLEY ... AND MAYBE EVEN A WATERFALL!
Wood Valley is the gem of the southern Ka’u district … a lush green emerald of a valley, nestled within the comforting crescent of pali cliffs.
Sometimes, you will even see a waterfall running down the cliffs, right from your cottage—we’re the only cottage with a view in the valley!
Wood Valley is a place of peace. Known for its remarkable serenity, it is known on the Big Island as "magical" .."mystical" .. "spiritual" .. "healing".
Wood Valley is an ideal spot from which to tour Volcano. Warmer, sunnier and filled with radiant flowers as well as lushness, you’ll find it’s less than half an hour away.
And from beautiful Wood Valley, you can see the real Hawaii, and experience why National Geographic Traveler magazine calls this the "Last Aloha Region" in all of Hawaii. Here you will experience deep, pure nature--almost 80 miles of natural, unspoiled shoreline, beaches, and Hawaii’s natural goodness, away from the bustle. One of the purest places in the world, this is as close to old Hawaii as it gets.
