Additional Location Information

This is the very rare "cottage w/ beach out the door" on Maui! Perfect for couples year-round on the Northshore of Maui.

Steps away from Baby Beach and Baldwin Beach:
This beach and its protected swimming area is a natural beautiful aqua blue swimming pool and a big sand box all in one place. Best time to visit is in the mornings, before the tradewinds pick up which are usually during mid-March to mid-November. Kids and adults of all ages love what this beach has to offer. Swimming or jogging for fun or exercise, snorkeling, playing with beach toys and inflatable toys, building sand castles, or just relaxing and soaking up the sun with the cool Maui breeze on your skin. Exploring the small tides pools near the parking area is fun too! This is an ideal beach for taking young children to for a fun and safe swimming environment. Baby Beach is at the very end (west end) of mile-long Baldwin Beach and is considered by many locals and visitors alike to be the best part of Baldwin Beach.

A short 1-minute drive to PAIA town:
Paia is home to adventure-seekers of all types whether they are looking for water sports like windsurfing, kitesurfing (kitebaording), surfing, SUP (stand-up paddling), canoe paddling, OC-1 (one-man canoe paddling) or land-based activities like hiking, mountain-biking, or cycling. Paia and the northshore of Maui surpasses all other locations in Hawaii in offering the “ease of access” and quality of experience for each of these endeavors.

Paia town is just 10-minutes' drive from Kahului airport (well outside the range of jet noise) but is a “throwback to the Plantation era” that's been updated with shops, boutiques, restaurants for all budgets, and even a health-food store, Mana Foods. The “vibe” is mellow or “laid-back”, as is the pace, hence the attraction for so many travelers looking to “get off the beaten track” away from the hotels and large condo complexes of the southshore and westside and experience the more “local” side of the island.
